They have the technology to play an out door game in LA now so I'm sure vancouver will be no problem if the can avoid the rain. I think they cover and refrigerate the ice till game time and have some good size chillers under the ice.

So who do you figure we would play. Oilers or Ottawa?

Calgary got the Habs, Toronto gets Detroit and the WC. Jets are bidding for 2016.

Vancouver/Colorado? Maybe a California team? The object is to up the ratings throughout the States, so..

Vancouver/Boston or Vancouver/Chicago would be awesome too, although both have been to an outdoor game. Still though.

Really pushing the concept of an "outdoor" game in BC Place... even with the roof open (which probably wouldn't be the case as it would be raining), it hardly qualifies as outdoor. That little part of the roof that opens isn't very big.
