TOMapleLaughs
In before 'he shud take ova for AV insted!' Oh you guys... Too quick with the wit.
wallstreetamigo
Since our on-ice strategy seems to be flagging so much I think that Manny could conceivably get better results than AV right now. Manny is a guy that the team would go to war for. Motivationally it would be a step up, I think.
Nucks-4-Life
Highest paid coach in the world of hockey right now.
CrippledCanuck
You do realize that good coaches regularly get paid 2+ million per season, right? Gillis makes over 4 million.

disisdayear
He should be teaching our NHL level centers how to win a faceoff never mind our prospects.....
The Brahma Bull
This...^^...with the p!ss poor performance in the faceoffs of late, we could use Manny up with the big team...but as professional as players may be and as much respect Manny has among his teammates, there's always difficulties transitioning from a peer to a teacher. Nonetheless, Manny would be valuable in any role in the organization. On another note, did anyone notice that Laurence Gilman was behind the bench with the coaching staff in Columbus last night? I only noticed it as everyone was celebrating Raymond's shoot out goal...was he there the whole game? If so, I wonder what that was all about... CrippledCanuck
He has been a member since 06, I think he knows who Gillis is. He is showing income desparity in management compared to Malhotra's salary. I don't know if people say stuff like this to be a troll, put up their post count, or just cause they don't actually read the thread they are posting in. CrippledCanuck
I would love to see a reference that backs that statement up about coaches salaries. Gretzky made a lot and I know that Babcock makes about $2 mil. Manny's making $2.5 so if he isn't THE highest he's likely in the top 5.

theminister
In 2010 Mike Babcock signed an extension for 2mil at the time making him im the highest paid coach so I would assume w renewals and such there has to be someone now who makes more http://usatoday30.us...extension_N.htm
thad
Get rid of Newell, the powerplay guy and tell the boys to come up with their own pp plans, then get manny back there as an assistant coach.. He's perfect for all the youngsters that are going to be coming up the system soon.
