I would Say trade none of our Prospects because Prospects will needed next year as cap is going down. Also remember Anaheim when they won cup Cory Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Bobby Ryan got them going yes there were vets in line but there player ran 3rd line and got lots of goals to win. We should Run third young line next year as well Nicklas Jensen-Brendan Gaunce- Zack Kassian as our third line that will bring our cap down as well as we will have killer third line scoring grinding and big hitting line
Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Alex Burrows—16.7
Jannik Hansen-Ryan Kesler –David booth---10.6
Nicklas Jensen-Brendan Gaunce- Zack Kassian—2.85
Dale Weise – Max Lapierre- Darren Archibald-3.5 (if we can sign max and dale for 2.6 both)
Dan Hamhuis-Alex Edler-9.5
Kevin Bieksa-Jason Garrison—9.2
Chris Tanev----Kevin Connauton—3.0
Cory Schneider----------4.0

8] Eddie Lack----------------.75

8] Total=60.1 way under cap and great team

that third line wouldn't work as AV demands his 3rd line to be a shut down line. Try

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Jensen Kesler Kassian
Booth Gaunce Hansen
Weise Lappy Archibald

... with your players of course

I am fairly certain Higgins will be re-signed. Yes depth may put him on the 4th line but injuries/slumps happen and he can slot in anywhere

Basically AV only likes prospects if they can be defensively responsible. Exhibit A: Chris Tanev

We have been trading away our prospects for the last ~6 years. What makes you think it's going to stop now?

Next year is going to be interesting and here are some things I think will happen:
1. More retirements than usual
2. More prospects in lineup for cap ceiling teams
3. More older veterans to teams with lots of cap space (sort of like Dallas this year)

Teams like Vancouver are probably going to need to bring in prospects they would normally have left off roster because they need to come down in cap space significantly. This will mean a bunch of veterans will be out of a job with the "good" teams and will either sign with teams like NYI/FLO etc. or retire.

I think next year will be one of the most exciting off-seasons with compliance buyouts and significant cap space management, and all of that will lead to a really exciting trade deadline where all these cap floor teams ar(Ie more competitive in their signings.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Jensen-Kesler-Kassian
Higgins-Gaunce- Hansen
Archie-Lapierre-Pinizzotto/Weise

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Edler-Tanev
Garrison-Corrado

Lu/Schneider
Lack/UFA

I think Jensen, Gaunce and Corrado can all make the jump at the beginning of the season.
- Jensen is already almost a sure thing for being on this team next year, Even without the cap reasons.
- Gaunce already has NHL size, has leader qualities, and has proven himself to be defensively reliable.
- Corrado is the ever elusive RH shot we need, time will tell if he is ready. Contract doesn't slide next year.
- Lack is dependent on his surgery.
- Archie has the size, he is my "one to watch"

Needless to say being able to bring in these 5 guys next year would be a HUGE relief to our cap structure next year, and we are going to need it. It also lets us build up some cap room for a big deadline acquisition next year.

None of them?

I only care about Lack, Jensen, Schroeder, Corrado, Gaunce and maybe McNally.

The rest can go for all I care since it's doubtful any of them will play a full season in the NHL.

People are scared to trade prospects now a days for good reason

I guess the term for getting hosed among the GMs is getting "Gilled"

Nobody wants to get Gilled

Okay, get your fact straight before comparing the Canucks with the 2007 stanley cup winner in the Anaheim Ducks
-Bobby Ryan DID not partake in the 2007 stanley cup run
-Anaheim's kid line wasn't the 3rd line but the 2nd line (yes its Dustin Penner, if u still thinking who was before Bobby Ryan)
-Anaheim was able to roll 3 lines because their 3rd line (Moen, Niedermayer,Pahlsson) was extremely effective in shutting down the other team's first line. And your suggestion for Canucks' shutdown line = Jensen,Gaunce,Kassian?!?! oh mine...
