I will be going to sleep tonight dreaming of Mike Ribeiro in a Vancouver Canucks jersy. If there was ever a good fit for us.............. get er done!!!!!! This is our ticket, cash it in! Forget about Kris Versteeg lucky Mike makes it work where ever he goes, the line combinations are endless, and he has the skills to pay the bills. He has the stats to back the facts! Why go with an uncertainty, Mike is our man. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, he'd fit in perfectly with Kesler!

Considering Kesler is more effective on the wing, bringing in Ribeiro would be huge for the team. It would be a very good fit actually.

Ribeiro also has something the Canucks need, PASSION! so maybe he whines at times, has been a diver, etc....he has edge to his game and he can produce.

However Washington has been dying for a secondary center, Ribeiro fits that bill, if he won't resign in Washington then Vancouver would be smart to look at him anyways.

I always thought Ribeiro was one of the cockiest players in the game. That being said, he does have a ton of skill to back it up.

Not my first choice, but at least Gillis would be doing something to help improve this team.

We would be 1st in the league for power plays if we occasionally sent out Burrow-Ribeiro-Lapierre.

Probably the 3 most hated french players in the league.

They don't, ever. They're about as accurate as CDC is.

It would be AWESOME.

If we got him we would be one of the most hated teams in the history of the NHL.

3 of this years top 10 most hated players would be Canucks!

Sure he has the shootout skills, (which we need). But I don't see him being a good fit here.

He will go for a prospect and a pick.

He's had 52 and 45 assists in the last 2 years, can play Center (When kesler is injured) or Wing, can pass (something we need on the 2nd line)

For the first time (I was previously against bringing him in) but I actually might want too.

I think he can play wing so maybe he would make a good winger for Kesler and Booth as a rental then we let him go in the offseason.

Although only if the price is reasonable.

Riberio would drastically improve our team. He has some sick hands and can pass too.

So we would get an injury prone winger with a combined 100 points the past 3 years, someone in our own division rather than someone who can play Center/Wing, 187 points in the past 3 years and would only cost a prospect and a pick?

Makes sense

Schroeder,3rd,Sestito for Ribeiro, Volpatti ;)

Are you forgetting that the refs are still punishing us for the Burrows/Auger incident?

I could definitely see Grabner going. He seems to have done his best to play his way out the door (and Gillis seems to be the smartest GM we've ever had, so, put two and two together)...

And Marchand/Horton.

They play for the Bruins and have the Jacobs free pass card in their back pockets.

I love how no one wants "soft" players, only goons, then whine when goons are useless. The Canucks are a team that gets by on talent, not on crashing around. Trying to force goons into the top six isn't going to magically fix the offense - good offensive players will.

He has been nearly PPG every season for the last nine years, and has 28 points in 25 games this year. Stop running your mouth just to hear yourself talk.

He's on the downside of his career despite how he's playing right now.

I'd pass on him.

Not to mention he's soft as baby doo-doo.

Take his skillset and put him with kesler and that bolsters the top 6 greatly which is what we need. Teams going to win the cup will put aside his diving which im not sure if he still does.

Say a team like chicago gets him... That would make them that much harder to defeat, all depends on their goalies

Theres no harm in calling and seeing what the asking price is, if its a 1st rounder and a prospect that is steep, maybe a 2014 1st but doubt they bite on that

In the end, he is what we need but doubt we get him

At least he's a center...

In an ideal world, Kesler would accept this and become our 3rd line center. But Canucks World is usually not ideal.
