      BOARD SPECIFIC RULES   02/05/2016

These are board specific rules, meant to try to make the Trades and Free Agent Signings forum better for everyone. YOU MUST READ AND ABIDE BY THESE FORUM RULES.

      1. If an event happens, wait a few minutes before posting, in all likelihood, someone has already posted it. We don't want numerous threads on the same event, so please search before posting.

      2. Please provide a clearly identifiable topic title for your thread so that user's can search for and find the appropriate thread easily. The title should include any and all teams involved, as well as player names or other personnel involved as appropriate. This is to help avoid duplicate threads and to make searching easier. For any and all comments, please use the Topic Description box instead of the title.

Affixed to the front of your title should be a label that identifies the type of transaction that is taking place. For all trades use [TRADE]. For all signings use [SIGNING]. For all waiver-wire transactions use [WAIVERS]. For all rumours use [RUMOUR].
For articles or news that don't fit into the above categories, affix an appropriately label of your choice such as [NEWS], [ARTICLE] or [MISC].

      3. All trades, signings, rumours and other news MUST include a linkable source. Simply posting the name of the source is not enough. Effort should also be made to copy and paste the full article, or at the very least the relevant portion of text from the source to the first post of the thread.

The following are NOT considered valid sources: Any links to posts or threads on other message boards Any links to personal blogs Any news heard on the radio that does not have a link to an audio vault or podcast Any news seen on television that does not have a link to online video Any news spread by word of mouth
Hockeybuzz, Spector's Hockey and The Fourth Period are currently acceptable sources.

The NHL Line, Brochu is Hockey and NHL Hockey News by saint Pako are currently invalid sources.

      4. Clearly misrepresenting the contents of your thread or posting false Trades/Signings/Acquisitions to send the forum into a frenzy will be taken very seriously and will result in an automatic suspension.

      5. Please put all proposals into the proposals forum and NOT this forum. Proposals found in this forum will be moved or deleted without warning.

      6. Please report any threads or messages that violate these or other board rules to the administrators or moderators() Do not respond by posting spammy messages such as 'IBTL', and 'LOCK AND BAN', or by attacking other users. The report button is located to the bottom left of every post.

Thank you for your co-operation and please PM one of the Moderators or Administrators if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions regarding this forum.

[Report] Hockey Central Panel - Mike Ribeiro a good fit for Vancouver

Schneider+Ballard for Ribeiro+Green+4th

In case anyone don't know, that 70 point Green is long gone and probably aren't coming back. Expect him to be a 30-40 point guy if he stays healthy. But we do need a right handed dman. That said I really hate that contract and he is really injury prone. I kind of want Schultz instead. Probably cheaper and better in the long run.

Carlson won't be moved. No chance.

He's not, but you have to put Ribs in an offensive center role or he's useless. Meaning Kesler would have to man up and accept the 3rd line shutdown position, which he's excellent at. I would be very happy if something like that ever happens here.

I bet if we actually had another decent Center challenging for the 2nd line, Kesler wouldn't be playing such a scrub.

I did. But I bet on average flopping and diving gives us more powerplays than it does penalties.

Just an FYI...

Diving or not, Ribeiro still has more points this season then any Canuck.

I would take him as a second line center and move Kes to the wing. That would be awesome. Only issue is his contract, he would likely command a 1st round pick for a rental.

You're OK with and support diving in hockey? You're a sh*tty hockey fan.

Make it Happen Gillis. Booth, Schroeder and 3rd round pick plus conditional 3rd in 2014 if he resigns for Ribiero and Johansson.

Random Panel: Sidney Crosby would be a good fit for Vancouver

In other news, Evgeni Malkin would be a good fit for Vancouver

The price tag on Ribeiro is gonna be one arm, one leg and then they'll repeatedly smack the buyer with both limbs.

The previous video in this thread showed his flaws. Now here's a video that show's his skills.

Would not be opposed to seeing him center the 2nd line and have Kes on the wing

I find the commentating in that video disturbing. "Six shades of sexy", "pulls his pants down and spanks it home", "stimulation", clearly someone wants Ribeiro's D.

really? I find it entertaining, much more interesting than the drek we get on a nightly basis. Well maybe not but once in a while that's pretty hilarious.

Ribeiro dropped the gloves with Marchand and and is a Flames killer. Pretty sure he would fit right in.

He's the only bright spot on a horrible Washington team this season, if they trade anyone away I doubt it's Ribeiro.

Johansen on the other hand is very likely. Young Swedish center, he could learn a lot from the Sedins and Edler. He isn't having a great season so far but is very capable, throw Washington our 1st or 2nd rounder for him. We might even get him for Ballard and a 4th round pick.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Higgins - Kesler - Booth

Raymond - Johansen - Hansen

Kassian - Lapierre - Pinizotto

Sudddenly we have 5 natural centers, 9 20-goal scorers and scary depth. Meanwhile our defence is a physical beast for the playoffs:

Edler - Garrison

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Alberts - Tanev

Barker

Vandermeer

Great depth all around.

^ don't like that blueline depth at all - imo, not a good idea to depend on Barker as the 7th man - would want to acquire another defenseman.

I guess you didn't happen to notice Booth breaking his leg last game. He's gone for the season.

Right now we need not only a third line center but a second line winger. And trading a defenseman to get either one of those is not a good idea.

Our D is fragile enough as it is. Bieksa being out showed us that this team is one injury on D away from completely collapsing defensively. And even since his return they haven't played well.

Whatever it takes to win. Last 3 cup winners cheated their way to the cup.
