Gross-Misconduct
Great player. Smart to lock him up but who's signing the cheque? Bettman?
elvis15
He's great but wowsa, what ever happened to bridge contracts? This kid makes more than Edler.
marleau_12
Mark my words. Edler will prove to be better overall. I don't see OEL staying healthy.
winterhawks
OEL is 10x the player defensively that Edler is. Also a better puck mover and a better wrist shot, only advantage Eddy has is his slapper. He hasn't missed a game in his NHL career yet either. He skates like Keith no one is quick enough to hit him. I love Eddy but OEL is another level.
Apples
Solid signing. Alot of potential and is already a top 3 D guy.
Edlerberry
OEL is beast. Watch him play, he is a game changer and is consistent defensively. IMO he's already better than Edler, and on a more offensive team he'd DEFINITELY put up more numbers - espescially assists. His passing is elite. MoneypuckOverlord
overpayment. Looking at his previous year stats, Not sure why so many silly canucks fan think this is a "steal" He is certainly not a offensive dman, with the numbers to back it up. Solid defensively. 5.5 million too early in his career to make that type of money. He would never gotten that in Vancouver

Edlerberry
The structure of the deal is also very beneficial to the Coyotes. They're not a cap team, so the cap hit doesn't really matter. It's the salary that matter to them and the deal is backloaded. So now while he is still developing he will be making 3.5 million, then 4 million and later in the deal the salary will increase. marleau_12
The defence in Phoenix is what makes them even passable. They're like St.Louis, making average goalies look like vezina candidates.
