canucksnihilist
problem: there is no center available. that player needs to come from inside - and the cupboard has been bare for 10 years here in van
Kack Zassian
players that genuinely play with heart don't constantly dive all over the ice looking for cheap penalties.
Kack Zassian
Trade a goalie for a high quality 2nd line center, and let Kesler shine at what got him his name: being a shut down 3rd liner.
tas
why do people keep throwing around the selke argument? john madden won a selke and was runner up 3 times. do you want him on the second line?
Bring_Back_Bertuzzi
hes our future captain we cant trade
Moonshinefe
To people saying Kesler always rushes back, he got hit and broke something blocking a shot last time, which is hardly his fault or 'coming back too soon'. And no, we shouldn't trade him. He's been a core, instrumental player who's played his soul out for this team for the last several years. If the management just ditched him after a couple injuries, that'd be ridiculous. With that mentality we wouldn't have had Salo for nearly as long. Lookin2Pass
Be patient. Kesler is worth the wait. I had voted for him to be captain when Luongo could not handle the C. Kesler plays with courage and heart day in and out. Did you guys remember how torn he looked after Gm7 SCF? priceless... can't trade that away. BurrsArrows
it's not a ridiculous idea but just not the right scenario right now

Hunter.S-Kerouac
coho could be filling in for kesler quite nicely right now.
Ray_Cathode
The thing is, he's always rushing to get back to play. He tried waiting it out this time but honestly, he wasn't playing the same.. He should honestly just be much more patient this time around and he'll play like he's paid to play.. He needs time and patience and he knows it but he's desperately trying to get back
Ray_Cathode
Id float his name in the offseason to see whats out there... why not? I really like Kesler, but not as a top 6 center... He has and will always play better with grinders... Hes a franchise 3rd line center with PP prowess. He's an extremely valueable piece, but he had some injury issues, and it might just be better to cut bait while his value is still there alla Linden and Bertuzzi....
