Stanley cup>high draft pick...

Not if your last name is Gallager or Botchford.

After your last headline of:
"Canucks Win the Cup!...but they probably aren't going to do it twice in a row, with this team."

You'd be out of things to write.

__________i'm saying it's not realistic for THIS team to go far in the playoffs.

edit: just to pre-empt the inevitable "but
la did it last year!!!" garbage:

kopitar
richards
carter
stoll
fraser
lewis
nolan
richardson

vs

hank
kesler (if healthy)
lapierre
ebbett
schroeder

Correction

<possible trade here>

Luongo and/or Schneider

Not as bleak as you make it out, good sir, if we can turn the corner and get some chemistry going, as well as some consistency. I'm not saying recent results are encouraging, but the fact is, the Canucks are under-achieving at the moment. If they manage to perform to potential, they'll make the playoffs...if they reach above it, like the Kings did last year, they can still go far.

You mention Jordan Nolan, but forget about Danny Sedin and Burr. You should not come back to this thread once you've given your head a good shake.

well, if either of you had a clue, you'd have noticed that i listed only natural centers.

Hmmm, I wonder how many Kings fans thought the same last year in March?

It's not like he made an impact when he was healthy.

5 points in 7 games says otherwise.

5 points in 7 games with a broken foot.

And a PP that went 0 for 36 after he left. Aswell leaving the line-up with one top 9 center.

Yeah a pretty big impact.

"impact" to me implies making a difference between winning and losing. he didn't.

Minor update on Kes and Booth

“@FarhanLaljiTSN: I'm hearing the #canucks are hopeful that Kesler will begin skating by the end of this month. Booth could be out up to 2 months”

So I guess early-mid April for Kesler, and first round of playoffs for Booth

Hopefully this is a blessing in disguise and we end up getting a bit of extra cap space and have Booth and Kesler back ready to go for the playoffs.

Booth kinda works out nicely then. Nice little depth add in the first round that exceeds the cap

We need more than Kesler to make any noise in the post season.

the canucks will be a couple rounds deep into their post-season by the time booth is healthy.

luckily golf is pretty low impact so i don't foresee any setbacks.
