[Signing] Ducks sign Perry

An small article out of the finnish media about Getzlaf, Perry and thoughts from Teemu Selänne

Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry both signed an eight-year-long, wealthy follow-up agreements with the Ducks.

Anaheim icon Teemu Selanne, of course, on behalf of the team happy that two of the team's most important contributors decided to continue for a long time in a familiar organization. Both are 27-years old, and they have played throughout their careers with the Ducks. Both would have been free to players during the summer, and although the signings were vital to the club, the uncertain future didn't impact the other players.

- We are all happy that they (contracts) have now been made, but it has not hindered us at all. We just focused on playing, Selänne says on the club's website.

- Those two contracts show a huge commitment, and they are a sign from the organization to the fans and the team that they wan't to win here. After signing players to long contracts, it will set up a foundation to build on and is excellent news.

42-year-old Selänne gets along beautifully with the star duo 15 years younger than himself. He threw a joke their way too.

- If they can play for another eight years, so I can. I am in better shape than they are, Selänne joked.

In their home arena, Anaheim will tonight face the only team that has amassed more points this season, the Chicago Blackhawks.
