Anson Carter Interview

Recommended Posts

you actually think Anson Carter would still be playing against the Bruin in 2011 on the side of the Sedins?

The reason he did so well with the Sedins at that time was because it was the Sedins' first season being a first liner. The teams didn't study them as well as they did in the last few years. Anson can literally just park himself in front of the net waiting for Henrik to feed him. This will not work even if the canucks re-sign Carter, let alone saying he will be a difference maker in 2000 freaking 11 beside the Sedins.

Proves how stupid Canucks management was back then. You finally got a player with great chemistry with the Sedins, and then you totally lowballed him (he deserved at least 2.5 million but was offered like 1.5 IIRC). Then you traded away draft picks for Taylor Pyatt and gave him a 1.5 million contract. While he was relatively effective with the twins, the Sedins never got a reliable linemate again until Alex Burrows (and Samuelsson) a few years later.

FYI, the 4th rounder used for Pyatt eventually turned into Keith Aulie.

Burrows would have been playing alongside Kesler as what did for the longest time.

While you're throwing out random unprovable scenarios, I could easily just counter with that Anson Carter could have done some wicked game 7 heroics against Boston and brought the Cup to Vancouver.

Carter would been 36 when we faced Boston in 2011. You actually think he will still play in first line at that age?

Ffs he can't even stay in the nhl 2 years after he left the nucks. N suddenly he's the hero in 2011's cup run

Jesus Christ
