[Report] Canucks interested in Jagr

Recommended Posts

I heard Benn doesn`t like playing with Jagr because he always wants to carry the puck over the blue line where as Benn plays more of aggressive dump and chase style.

Jagr`s puck possession style would work well with the Sedin`s, dropping Burrows down and solidifying our 2nd line with Kesler`s return.

We still need another center though. At this point I`d trade Lou and a 3rd for Bozak and TO`s 1st.

With the way Raymond's been playing this season I think that line would be even more lethal this year. Now say we trade Luongo for Bozak, Franson, and Scrivens, then trade Ballard and a conditional 3rd for Jagr

Sedin - Sedin - Jagr

Burrows - Kesler - Raymond

Higgins - Bozak - Hansen

Schroeder - Lapierre - Kassian

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Edler - Tanev

Garrison - Franson

Schneider

Scrivens

umm dude.

4 other teams passed on him, do you have any clue as to why? especially when everyone knew he was the best player in the draft?

oh ya thats right

bc Czech was still communist country (until 1989). and no one knew when they could get him out. Ivan Llendl the famous czech tennis player assisted pittsburgh through his connections. there was risk for anyone drafting him.

now you've learned something

Speaking of Bure, doesn't he remind you of a fairly long running trend of inept player management by Vancouver front office staff? Even to this day mismanaging Hodgson. Give him the 2nd line minutes, move Kesler to the wing where he's more suited, and let him take specialty faceoffs.

C'est la vie I suppose.
