He can then meander, un-hindered, to the opposing team's crease, puck in glove, and drop it over the goal line. Why even habe forwatds or defensemen? Shananigan needs to be let go. No suspension for Nash for jumping in the air and aiming or the head from behind but edler gets 2 for trying to pursue the puck and the goalie getting in the way. Just terrible. Marchand and the Bruins get to dive all over the place and complain about other teams diving. It's all in good fun says the NHL, just boys being boys. Who cares if smith was hurt, as mentioned above where was edler supposed to go? and he was protecting himself. he couldnt avoid him anyway. I think goalies should be fair game. In theory, each additional infraction should be an increase in games. Let's see what happens before we run Costco out of tin foil, Pepsi and Doritos. snolan Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 I know Edler didn't make an attempt to get out of the way yada yada but what the hell was Smith thinking even going out to play the puck, Edler was RIGHT there. I can see a 5 minute penalty but seriously a two game suspension? I'd be complaining if our goalie got ran but I don't think either of them would pop out to play that puck in that position.
