Wonder if we'll get our first look at Blomstrand tonight... I hope so. It's the 2nd of 3 games in 3 nights, you have to think he'll play at least one of these this weekend.

Okay, big thing standing out a minute in. Literally big thing, Kellan Lain, he can fly. He's moving his feet way too fast for him to be 6'6.

Blomstrand takes a boarding minor and Peoria scores on their ensuing powerplay. Looked a little weak (the penalty), but it still counts.

Lain with a chance at the side of the net.. 3 pokes no go.

He looks lanky, he's quick and likes to hit.

Blomstrand is a banger.

This Joslin/Groux swap is effing brilliant for the wolves.

Blomstrand's skating is incredibly smooth, looks really fast for a big guy. Tough too.

It's pretty bad that with two of their top centers gone, our 2nd round pick still can't crack the lineup.

This is another time where having their own farm team would be beneficial.

Weak goal let in by Climie. Lain and Blomstrand look good, same as Archibald. Jensen isn't getting passed to it seems so he hasn't been able to use his shot to its best.

I'm sure everyone is already aware but the stream is working on usagoals. Watching it now.

Davies is a damn solid player at the AHL level. Just kept the puck alive behind the net and set up a chance.

Jensen had a 2 on 1 with Sweatt and elected to shoot. He got a decent shot off but McKenna stayed with him and made the save.

Two main complaints with this game.

1. Haydar/Sterling are put on the ice for long shifts every other shift. That's BS, develop our damn prospects Arniel.
2. Why is Vandermeer on the PP over Price? Price actually looks like he might have top 4 potential.

Another great chance for Jensen as he crashes the net with Sweatt trying to feed him from behind the net and he draws a penalty. You can really tell this guy has a scorer's instinct.

2nd PP for the Wolves.

What are your thoughts on jensen and Blomstrand in this game?

Blomstrand looks like a player, great speed and size, aggressive play; that said, he needs a year at least to develop and get used to the NA game in the AHL before he makes the big leagues.

Jensen has disappointed me a little bit this game, although he isn't put on a line with offensive players of the same calibre and isn't getting the most ice time he doesn't look back to speed with the NA game yet. He is definitely trying to make the most of his situation and take advantage of any offensive opportunities given to him. It seems like he just isn't getting set up with plays that give him a real opportunity to use his shot and score goals, he could really use a good playmaker on his line (thinking Schroeder if he gets sent down again).

I reaaaaaaallllyyy want to see a Jensen - Schroeder - Kassian line in training camp next year, their styles would just mesh perfectly from what I've seen of them all.

Honestly, Scott Arniel is in a tough spot in Chicago and it might be better if we ditch the Wolves as our affiliate. The franchise is run like an independent team.

Everyday he's probably getting pressure from the Wolves management team to play the expensive veterans (Haydar and Sterling) that they have signed, so the Wolves win and its own players are showcased.

Then he's probably getting pressure from Mike Gillis to play the prospects more for development purposes.

Good chance for the Sweatt - Lain - Haydar line but it ultimately results in a Haydar penalty and the Rivermen will get their 2nd PP of the night.

Looks like Blomstrand is on the 2nd PK unit. Just like Price, looks like he's quickly gaining the coach's trust.
