Shawn Matthias, put him on our 3rd line. Has 10 goals so far, and only takes up $850,000 of our cap.

Why not place possible returnees...Adrian Aucoin or Sami Salo on the "wanted" lists? Both are big veteran-savy right-shootin' D-men & ex-Canucks with relatively low price-tags on below par teams (TB) (PHO). They have familiarity with the group and/or organization. They will add some very motivated & veteran depth while we can unload Alberts, Barker, or Vendermeer or low-picks for 'em. Even put up a gentleman's agreement (as futures) to send 'em back when the season is done... if they're still wanted by their former teams. Edler has definitely NOT been himself - with out this type of D-man lining up beside him. Another fair trading partner might also be (WASH) McPhee for Ribero. I would keep both goalies...anything can happen with the refereeing we've been seeing in the play-offs these past 2 seasons. Gooning a goalie is something that is likely & not outta the realm of possibility. Nor is 1 bad-night's performance that could cost 'em a series. Keep the core together for 1 more kick-at-the-can. We KNOW everything gonna change with the lowered cap next season. I predict that Lu WILL be a Florida Panther one day..& he'll probably have to agree to renegotiate his contract somehow - to make that happen. Stayin' tuned.

Mattias Ohlund? He's done. Keepin' his LTIR status till his contract expires. Why would this happen?
