Hey Canuck Fans,

The Anaheim Ducks have signed unrestricted free agent forward Radek Dvorak to a contract that will expire at the end of this season.

The 36-year-old veteran will earn $675,000 and must clear waivers before joining the Ducks because he played games in Europe since the start of the NHL season.

Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the first round (10th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Dvorak spent this season playing for Davos in Swiss League where he registered seven points in seven games.

Last season, he registered four goals and 17 assists with the Dallas Stars and has 219 goals and 358 assists through 1,191 career NHL games with the Panthers, Rangers, Oilers, Blues, Thrashers and Stars.

What do you think of this signing? It depends if he clears waivers.

Go Canucks Go :canucks:

Cheers..

What position does he play? If he's a centre, then maybe pick him up for depth but I'm still leaning toward no.

He'll probably be picked up by one of the first teams that gets the chance.

It definitely doesn't, I'll be the first to admit that. Just saying that the caps make it seem like it's some shocking blockbuster, when in reality it's a depth player signing.

Just 21 points last year, 7 playoff points in 39 playoff career games, hasn't played in the playoffs since 2006..

He's played like 10 games so far this year.

I doubt he gets picked up.

Likely going to get plucked the way the season is unfolding. Lots more waiver pick ups, a lot less big trades.

Dvorak would help just about any team's depth in the playoff run. It's frustrating how we have to sit back and watch contending teams like Anaheim and Pittsburgh bolster their lineup with veteran depth players while the Canucks sit on their ass and do nothing. These are the sorts of moves that result in cups, it's happened in just about every Cup winner of the last decade.

It has a lot to do with having bare cupboards of prospects and an aging core of overpaid players. We can't just go out and get a big player with a contract because we have 16-20 million tied up in overpays like Ballard, Booth, Luongo, Kesler, Garrison (He's alright, but not worth that kind of $$$) and 'currently' Edler. And you can't just go get another player to replace the injuries, because they aren't season-enders, just "well he's almost all better" and then boom, salary cap.

The Vancouver market gets too attached to players for the wrong reasons. Hockey is a business, the goal is to win the cup. Even now, people are sad at the prospect of trading Luongo because he's funny on twitter. Seriously?

This year is not our year. The inconsistent play and injuries mean we're probably out first round, provided we don't go on another skid and miss altogether. It's probably not a bad decision to trade who we can out for some picks or prospects, and restock the system this year, make a run for a UFA or two, and see where the chips fall from the Luongo deal. It's a deep prospect year this year, so we should be taking advantage of that, and tune it up for next year. Yes, I'd love to win the cup every year, but you have to be realistic. The teams constantly in the hunt are teams who draft exceptionally well, and didn't make a habit of trading all their prospects and picks away for overpaid roster players instead of developing them themselves.

Knee-jerk trades to satisfy the fan base are just bad news.

Vehicle and power train NVH Some aerospace engineers complete master's degrees as well as doctoral work before entering search engine optimization gainesville. Advanced degrees can significantly increase an engineer's earnings. Students continuing to graduate school will study research and development, using a thesis necessary for a master's degree and a dissertation for the doctorate. About one-third of aerospace engineers go onto graduate school to obtain a master's degree.

Of course, interdiction and bombardment were just two from the applications from the specialized warfare that aerospace power was capable of. COL Warden, USAF, would produce a model of the enemy called the Five Ring theory. It dictates that at relation to its importance and relative accessibility, the enemy, whether a cartel or enemy country, is presented in the following order: Fielded Forces, Population, Infrastructure, System Essentials, and Leadership (Warden). Airpower is exclusive in their power to strike at any kind of these 'rings', and do so with extreme prejudice and decisiveness of action, and the putting on airpower to the demonstrates how radically aerospace weapons altered combat.
