I think AV deserves a great deal of credit for this current streak.

Always awesome that the Canucks won. This one kinda sucks for me though cause it was at the expense of my favorite player (Giguere) losing. I'm still hoping he can get another chance at being a starter in the future.

All the people who were saying that Schneider was "unproven"... He's been leading a banged up team that was on the verge of collapsing out of the playoffs to a four game winning streak. Not saying he's the greatest goalie ever nor is it a knock on Lu, just saying that he's been doing pretty well under pressure so far.

This time last week I was concerned for our team. This week I feel pretty good. Lets hope they can keep this momentum up and not lose any more players. *knock on wood*

Really? I haven't seen him lace up the skates or stop any pucks.

I think Schneider deserves a lot of the credit, what with his show-stopping saves he's been making. Might just be me though.

Well all's i have to say is Raymond has really changed my mind. I was never a big fan, but for him to be forced into a pay cut this season and not hold a grudge or play like crap really tells me a lot about this kid. Very good story, keep it up Mason.

Never did I say Schneider shouldn't get any credit.

I'm saying AV has this team winning, with pretty much half the roster injured.

Funny how AV gets blamed for the losses, but gets no credit for the wins.

We did what we needed to do to get the win. Not the best game by any means but im very impressed with what we've been doing under a barage of injuries.

The defense deserves some credit.. Hamhuis and Bieksa have played much better of late. I though Alberts had his usual shaky boneheaded moments, altho i do like his physical presence. Barker was horrible and i really do not know what MG or AV see in him.

Schneider was fantastic once again. No contest anymore who our starter is. We have a chance to go on a nice little run now better take advantage.

Absolutely amazing that this team continues to win hockey games without over 1/2 their lineup.

The Schroeder line is fun to watch. When the 3 of them skate into the zone, defenseman fall back scared. They get so much room now due to their speed. When Kes comes back, maybe he can play with Higgy and Kass just so that line can stay together.

Daniel Sedin has been really off this season. I really hope it's not related to the concussion he got from troll boy last yr.

Tanev quietly having a stellar season. 7 pts already, on pace for 18-20 pts. Very good for a d-man who gets no PP time and starts more shifts in his own zone than any other guy. He's just a beast.

Garrison is also quietly a beast. His underlying numbers are ridiculously good. Him and Tanev lead this team with rockstar underlyers - lead the back end.

Schneider was great again. Stealing games.

Goalies get plenty of blame for losses.

AV gets blamed for the team playing like crap because people are sick of seeing the Canucks try sit on a lead for 20-40 minutes of play. Hell, I hate seeing them dump the puck and change even when we are up two goals and there's only 5 minutes left on the clock.. get some offensive pressure on then, that's not the time to back off and turtle. Everyone sees them doing it, and it's bitten us a couple of times when teams tie it up because we're being too defensive and giving them too much time in our zone.

Well that phantom call was a bunch of bogus, but I have to say we got away with a huge amount of penalties this game imo a few more then the AVS.

Anyway, great to see Schroeder with another point and Raymond with another goal.

I for one am surprised Schneider started back to back - maybe there's a trade in the works for Luongo?

Well played and entertaining game to watch - despite the lame 5-3 the refs gave the Avs....

This is exactly the kind of team AV is great with .. grind grind grind .. trap trap trap .. Same thing he did when he first came to van .. problem is ,,, when he has a truly talented team, he coaches the same way ... Im thrilled hes our coach this year ... Most of the other years , not so much ..

Wow, didn't even notice that. There's also a pretty significant difference in plus/minus - which is also reflected in their underlying stats. Though Kass has played tougher mins - they're both pretty much plus possession players, so that's a pretty good sign for such young players.

AV says #canucks F Dale Weise's shoulder injury is worse than day to day. He was in a sling in the locker room post game.

Think we'll see more of Ballard on the wing?
