NP-4815162342
I'd like to see Sedin-sedin-burrows Raymond-kesler/Schroeder-Hansen Higgins-Ott-kassian Sestito-lapierre-weise Trade booth or Higgins for Ott
UFTcan
Decent third liner who shows up some nights, but to be honest i dont really care if we keep him or not. Actually ive always kinda hated him.. but mg will just sign an american player so hmm
UFCanuck
Only if he is insisted upon in the Luongo deal and we improve our team.

Mad Cow Disease
Raymond is our joint-top goal scorer this year, and something we've lacked in the post-season since the SCF was goals, evident by the lack of Hodgson last year. If we're getting Ott, we're not letting Raymond go. If we manage to pick up Ott and keep our speedy line of Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen, when Kesler is back, Ott and Lapierre can play on a 3B line with Weise. There's playoff depth. I'm not making any trade proposals, but how juicy does this look? D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Burrows Higgins - Kesler - Kassian Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen Lapierre - Ott - Weise Booth Rotate 3A and 3B for ice-time.
UFTcan
What the hell is your issue with Americans? Do you not realize the Americans on our team are incredibly key players?
Baggins
Raymond only plays well on contract years, so if he stays in Vancouver, it should just be on the trail of one year deals. He was garbage after his 25 goal year, and is yet to prove effective in the playoffs
Apples
Keep Raymond since his playing very well. Once he starts struggling again, get rid of him
Baggins
Booth? 4.2M worth of toilet water Ballard? Fan favorite at underperforming Kesler? Enough about nashville series, but he's ok tho The top three american pay cheques are NOT incredibly key players.. Maybe thats a reason we dont win, cause these key players do not perform
Xur
DONT WORRY GUYS RELAX, MG's GOT THIS. MG has stated time and time again how much he likes MayRay and wants to keep him going forward. MayRay is our most underrated player. Think about it, if we did not have MayRay we would be down 4+ wins to put us around the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avelanche. But hey lets trade him! At least I can go to bed at night knowing MG is in charge of the Canucks and not the CDC.
DownUndaCanuck
Raymond and Hansen have carried this team so far. Our depth is winning us games right now. The only reason we should trade Raymond is if it snags us a big, physical center who's scoring at a similar pace to Raymond which is unlikely. Take Raymond away from this team and Hansen and Schroeder's effectiveness decreases quite a bit. We need our speedsters together, and come playoff time size and speed breaks defences open. Unlike Grabner, Raymond is clearly a late bloomer. He, like Hansen and just about every young Canuck, is learning a lot from the Sedins about how to develop their game and they're going about it the long way, but it'll pay off eventually in a much bigger way. Maniwaki Canuck
The speed line has been clutch and arguably our best this year. It makes no sense to break it up by moving Raymond, not that he'd bring us Ott in a trade anyway. As a second line, facing those kind of matchups, the speed line is doing great work this year. If we get a second line based around Kesler back, say with Higgins and Kassian on the wings, the speed line will get even more favourable matchups. There is no big problem that needs to be solved here, just some injuries.
John.Tallhouse
Keep Ray!
zombieksa
I look at it like this: If we can probably sign Raymond, Higgins, Lapierre and Tanev for less than what Ballard+Booth make combined, the decision moving forward is obvious.
Bodee
I give up! What is wrong with some of you guys? Without Raymond this year we are probably not even seeing the playoffs. It's not just his goals and his assists, it's his overall tenacity and energy. Is it any coincidence that not only is he fit but he is playing with a gifted passer AND two players who can keep up with him and take HIS passes too. He has never been a guy to barge down the door but instead he picks the lock with a scorpion sting. Playing with Raymond (and Hansen) gives Schroeder some room (he regressed when that line was broken up) Schroeder NEEDS room and Ott OR Kesler OR Booth won't give him that space. So beware of what you wish for and don't underestimate Raymond's popularity in the general fan base.
cc_devil
Booth for Ott. He could be the shutdown third line center allowing Kesler to focus on the second line. Not a aging vet to slow to react like Pahlsson last year plus you'd still have a year on Ott's contract and offload Booth who's pretty much done nothing since being traded here so its not like its affecting the team.Booth could be affective with a center in Hodgson in Buffallo. I still trade Raymond while his stock is high though. Maybe Dallas will trade Jagr for him lol! Jagr would produce more in the playoffs than Raymond. Calgary's GMJF maybe foolish enough to trade Iginla for Raymond unlkely but I throw an offer out and see. With Booth gone you could afford Iginla Sedin Sedin Burrows Jagr/ Iginla Kesler Hansen Higgins Ott Kassian Sestito Lappierre Weise Just think no prospects for AV to coach. He be in his glory cause he could bring Kassian along as a 3rd liner not having to coach as his usual with rookies. You wouldn't even have to worry about trading LU but it would be nice if it was done one day, perhaps for a right handed dman you could even and a Edler in with that deal for a top notch right handed defenseman. However if you go with youth you gotta get a new coaching staff as they destroy prospect.

Biasbieksa
I say if you can find a trade thats a fit. You do it. Cant risk another no show come playoff time. Only have the Sedins for so long.
-DLC-
Yes. He's simply not a playoff performer. The year he got 25 goals and we dubbed him as the next Bure lol, he only managed to score something like 2 goals in the entire playoffs. If we can trade Raymond while his stock is high (maybe throw in a pick or prospect) for Ott it would help the team in the bigger scheme of things. He was finding his game and fairly new to things then...he's matured since then. Players do gain experience and you can't assess them on some of their first performances. Ott's rep wouldn't fare well on the Canucks...dirty edge to his game and he'd spend a lot of time off the ice instead of on. Raymond's speed, skill and finesse are things we'd miss. No way I'd want to lose him.
CanucksJay
He's taken alot of abuse over the years by the media and fans, and I wouldn't be surprised if he walked after this season. He's played himself into a big pay raise that we might not be able to afford, and we still have to re-sign certain players.
