greetingsfrombrazil
As per TSN TradeCentre: Star Search After dealing captain Brenden Morrow, the Stars could soon be hanging the “For Sale” sign according to the New York Post's Larry Brooks. While rental players such as Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy and Eric Nystrom could likely be had, Brooks wonders if the Stars might truly start a rebuild by fielding offers on forward Loui Eriksson. The 27-year-old Swede has proven he can produce - netting 25-plus in each of his last four seasons - and would net a tidy return by virtue of the three years remaining on his contract beyond 2013 at an affordable $4.25 million. Perhaps the most underrated player in the league, I would love to see him play with the Sedins. Plus, his salary is the same as Booth's, I think he's a player that the Canucks should definitely go after.
Niklas Jensen
He is part of the rebuild there, not the piece they would sacrifice. Larry Brooks pipe dream. Morrow, Jagr, Robidas, Roy would net them enough return for a good rebuild there. They'll focus their rebuild on the 2 pieces they have which is Eriksson and Benn. Spotted Zebra
If there was ever a player I'd trade a Jensen for this would probably be him.
Wheels22
Always liked the way he played.. He would be a great addition at this point for sure, but Stars would probably ask a lot for him, like one our roster players we can't live without... Pablo
Dallas are in a playoff spot. Why are they rebuilding?

BabychStache
Wow, thats unreal that they would even allow a rumour like that get out. Thats the kind of player you trade the farm for. If he moves, he'll be in Detroit. If MG still thinks this team is a contender i would open with: Raymond Connauton 1st in '13 Then work from there. He instantly solidifies the 2nd line and can play wing or centre.
CanucksFanMike
Sedin - Sedin - Eriksson would look sick But the price would be waaaaay too high IMO
elvis15
He's not going to move (as mentioned, part of the future in Dallas or should be) but I would easily do Booth, Raymond and Rodin for Eriksson and a 2nd. Great player.
MoneypuckOverlord
I would send Nicklas Jensen for him. No joke. this is the moves you make to bring your team over the top. He also benefit playing with Kesler so win win. But we not looking for wingers so moot point.
VanGnome
Booth Rodin Raymond? Raymond, Connauton, 1st? LOL How about Edler, Jensen and a 1st to start and maybe Dallas get's interested. Loui Ericksson with the Sedins = 40 goals minimum. He's been a near PPG player in Dallas, in Vancouver with the Sedins and on the PP he easily has 100pt potential. I'd still be comfortable going into next season with a Juice-Hammer-Garr-Tanev top 4. Perhaps get a veteran D and 3rd line C in a goalie trade: Luongo + 2nd for Goc, Kuba and Bjugstad. If it's feasible perhaps the Canucks keep some of Luongo's salary cap hit.
Captain Aerosex
Don't see it happening. He's only 27, consistent 60-70 points, amazing defensively for a winger (like Jere Lehtinen), and for 3 more years at $4.25 million? It'd take a lot to pry him out of Dallas. A lot. MoneypuckOverlord
Remember what we (CDC) were saying about James Neal a few seasons ago? Wasn't Neal virtually untouchable? A young rugged winger who could snipe? Didn't he and Matt Niskanen go for Alex Goligoski alone? If anything, I think Eriksson could be had for Edler. RyanKeslord17
THe thing is , our defence takes a huge hit, if we actually trade Edler. no joke. I'm not sure why the hate round Edler. At times hes a liablity, but most of the time he's actually not a liability. If you look at Drew Doughty, he is not doing any better then someone like Edler,
