Great for him.

It's not 7.5 per year, Kesler's at 5 million and Malhotra's at 2.5 million

Aside from everything that happened with his ex, when it comes to golf this is great news. I love Tiger. IMO, for a fan there is nothing like being able to watch someone dominate a sport they love to watch. It would have been a tragedy if Tiger never regained form, thankfully we are starting to see him regain his abilities. Watching the Masters is one of my favourite parts of spring time.

He certainly brings a level of excitment to golf I never knew existed.

Yet NBC would probably air the Masters over the Winter classic if it were on the same day. Good for Tiger hope he pulls it out at the masters

Right on Tiger, very exciting tournament this weekend,he played some clutch golf, and his putting was great.

He had a rough going there for a couple of seasons post scandal. It was hard to see him struggle for that long, and at one point I was thinking he should just retire.
But him being the competitor he is,just kept plugging away and finally got his groove back,as it seems anyway.
He did win his last two starts. It will be a very interresting Masters tourny this year, for sure.
If he doesn't win it,I'm sure he will win a major this year though.

I have a feeling we wont have long to wait ;-) The Open is at Muirfield this year and as long as the weather is not too severe, in which case it will become a lottery, that course is his dream so if he can keep his putting anywhere like what its been since he got that lesson from Stricker, The Open could be like his win at Hoylake.

Speaking of his putting, when he won at Doral earlier this season, he had 100 putts for 72 holes  that is unheard of, even by his standards in his pomp. If he can sort his driving out......look out

I know!!! I felt bad for the guy , but it was his own fault. I am glad he has overcome his personal problem and now returned to being the great guy we all knew he was !!!!

Its so good to see stories where guys screw up badly...........and dust themselves off and climb back up !!!! :emot-parrot:

Can't stand the arrogant, spoiled brat, nor can I understand why people hold him in such esteem. How can it be good for golf to have a cheater (both in marriage and at the game) as the face of the game? The guy is scum, plays by his own rules both on and off the course.

care to elaborate a bit on this please? personally, I could not give a flying four iron what he does in HIS PERSONAL life. This guy and his foundation raises millions and millions of $$$ for sick kids and if it were not for him, the PGA Tour, which raises more $ for charity than all other North American sports leagues combined, would be on its ar*e. Yes, indeed he is "scum"

Good for him.

Can't help but like him...stories of when he was young and sneaking onto the golf course with his Dad....

Didn't like what happened in his personal life, but who am I to know/judge?

I do like the excitement he brings to the game of golf...and to battle back from the low spot he was in - good for him.

Apparently he did it hundreds of times. He is lie a sex addict. Like Deb said though we can't really judge him because we don't know the full story. You can't help but admire his skill.

I saw him teaching a little kid on the course a 4 letter word after he hit a bad shot in this latest tournament. There was an f in it but the word wasn't golf.

I don't care much if he gets the number 1 spot as long as he doesn't win the Majors. The Majors are like the playoffs, that's where you go against the best under pressure. Eldrick hasn't won one of those in several years. :emot-parrot:
