Steve Carell
Iginla gets traded to the Bruins for a CONDITIONAL 1st and 2 mid-level prospects while Doug Wilson wants a 1st pick and a prospect. GTFO! If Gillis was willing to pay that much for a rental, we would've been better off trading for Iginla. Doug Wilson is off his rocker if he thinks Clowne is worth that much. Iginla >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Clowne.
Tangerines
Well Wilson might argue now that Iginla is off the market, that Clowe's value just went up much more.
ButterBean
Sestito is 6'5, Kassian is 6'4, John Scott is 6'8.....The frack cares about his size if he is a pylon and playing really bad this season. Also, Schroeder is a first round pick, Kesler is a first round pick, Schneider is a first round pick, Hodgson is a first round pick, Jensen is a first round pick. You really want to give away a first round pick for a pylon with size, who is injured and will be a UFA this summer? If we wanted players like that, we would just sign more dime a dozen Sestito type players off the waiver. Good thing you aren't a GM, otherwise we would never have a 1st round pick and probably wouldn't have Schneider, Sedins, Kesler, Schroeder etc.
LeanBeef
Clowe is a pylon with size? He has a better PPG in the playoffs than most of our supposed top 6'ers do plus he probably hits and most certainly fights better than anyone on our team. N4ZZY
I can't see Clowe coming to Van. Also. I don't think that Gillis is going to make any major moves on this team. Even if we are going to the playoffs, we're not going to go very far. Not with this roster, and with this team. Not this year. And even if we do go far. Look at the team we're going to have to eventually face - Pitts or Boston.

AnInconvenienceBrah
Don't give up a 1st for Clowe or much, he's just not worth it and Canucks are pretenders this year, if we can add him for a 3rd and not one of our valued prospects then cool, but then it doesn't make much sense for SJ. This Canucks team is just such a huge question market come playoffs with all the injuries. Would love Clowe and Ott and a healthy Kesler, would completely transform this team. Canuck Surfer
Nah; there's maybe 3 guys on our current Nucks willing to even get in a staring contest with Clowe... + Juice who would remind him he would stick handle around him for a goal? I also wonder if he'd be a locker room cancer after the temper tantrum he threw in a game against the Canucks a while back.

DownUndaCanuck
Definately not worth a 1st rounder. Iginla went for a 1st and 2 college prospects. The Sharks are essentially asking for a 1st and a good prospect, which is more or less the same thing. Sorry but no. Clowe is a 2nd round pick straight up at best considering the year he's having. We don't need wingers anyway, MG get us a center stat!
