DeNiro
NOOOOOO HOW ARE THEY VALUING HIM SO HIGH
Magikal
Far too steep a price for an underachieving, injured, UFA who is making 3.6M this year and will probably want the same again next year.
Rey
Realistically, they'll get a conditional pick depending on whether or not Clowe re-signs. A 1st if he re-signs, a 2nd if he doesn't, and then a prospect which is more than fair. Don't think anyone wants to pay him to be a injured rental. Bang Bang Boogie
I would not mind Clowe but not at that price. He seems to be on the decline.
grandmaster
Thats pretty steep for a goose egg on goals.
The-Impersonator
42 to 65 pts in each of his past 4 seasons. 6'2 225. If we had a good shot at re-signing him I'd do it. How many of our first round picks actually play for us?
Saskatchewan Canucks Fan
My mistake. It somehow didn't register with me that he is an up and coming free agent. A first is a very steep price to pay for what some could consider a rental player (although probably not the case). San Jose must really think they have an advantage with so few guaranteed sellers at this point in the season.
Salo'sBomb
I kind of have a feeling Gillis is going to trade for this guy. He's the exact kind of player Gillis wants. While he may not be very young, he's big and a physical presence, something the Canucks need more of. He can pot 50-60ish points in a season while bringing toughness. He's not a goon. LeanBeef
Conditional first and Rodin?
DeNiro
Keep in mind this average season means he likely won't get much of a raise. I would take him on this team over Booth any day.
kk0007
i've been craving clowe on the nucks for a couple years now...perfect fit..he knows how to pass the puck and is a huge body that we could for sure use on the pp. one off season doesn't turn him into a lost cause..if we could snag him for mcnally and a conditional 1st (1st if he re-signs, 3rd if he doesnt) i'd take it in a heartbeat
LeanBeef
Clowe for 1st, Schroeder, Ballard Aquire higher first through loungo deal at deadline. If we can get Clowe I would be ok lowering my asking on Lou. Floridas first would be nice... Even Washingtons might be nice
Magikal
2013 3rd round pick 2014 2nd round pick Anton Rodin Ryan Clowe.
Plaguez
I've made trade proposals with Clowe in them but obviously I was WAY off on the price. San Jose is out of their minds if they want a 1st and a prospect. Most I would offer is a mid level prospect and a 4th or just a 2nd round pick, in 2014. ice orca
I wonder if he would bitch about being traded to the Canucks, a team he supposedly hates.
Apple Juice
If Doug Wilson is asking for a 1st, he's delusional. Nobody is willing to give up a 1st this year because all 30 spots have the potential to land a great player, especially the Top 5. It's a very deep draft. I wouldn't mind Clowe, if they took McNally and a 2014 1st.
Salo'sBomb
I also wonder if he'd be a locker room cancer after the temper tantrum he threw in a game against the Canucks a while back.
LeanBeef
Maybe a 2nd and conditional 2nd plus a mid level prospect (Rodin) for Clowe? Or acquire a first and a prospect from a goalie trade and trade our first (conditional) plus a prospect for Clowe? Trebreh
Rodin/Sauve + conditional 1st if he re-signs. Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Clowe - Kesler - Burrows Higgins - Schroeder - Hansen Raymond - Lappiere - Sestito team toughness galore
