Buffalo is asking about Tampa Bay. Ryan Miller is in play. More to come. #sportsnet #TradeTracker

I'm fine with that. One more goalie off the trade market. Not sure if Yzerman is willing to do it though.

Haha, shouldn't it be Tampa asking about Miller? Haha

"Hey Tampa, Please take Miller."
"No."
"Pretty please?"
"No"
"Come on, he's a better guy than the papers make him out to be. And he buys coffee for you every fifth time you go to Starbucks with him"
"Okay...that's a good start."

That's what the title made me think with 'Buffalo attempting to trade".
The deadline can't come soon enough.

Hedman-Myers would be very deadly...but not gonna happen.

So Yzerman will trade for MIller but not Luongo? I'm not sure how much I buy that. Another note is the fact that Buffalo and Tampa will be in the same division next season which would up the ante

So Tampa doesn't want Lu, but they'll take headcase miller? Lu is way better than him.

Aside from the Olympics, Miller hasn't had the greatest career.

Did you watch Millers play during the Olympics? I'm sure Steve did. Lu was ok but Miller was lights out. Much more manageable contract too. GMs pay premiums for things like this.

Is she a dress wearer or a pants wearer? Could you share a rowboat? Could a rowboat support her? Would an average size rowboat support her without capsizing?

Aaron Portzline@Aportzline 1h

Obviously Iginla commanding the spotlight, and deservedly so. But, just making a few phone calls today, lots of chatter about goaltenders.

So who would Buffalo use as a goaltender then. They can't possibly want Garon or Lindback, they've been garbage. Would they join the Luongo sweepstakes? Their new owner certainly has the $$ to take his contract.

Why? It makes sense. Miller's contract is over at the end of next season and while he's injured now and clearly not quite ready to be a starter they do have a young guy in Lindback. Bringing in Miller would give him a little more time to be eased into the starting role. Plus if Miller works out well then you just resign him and make him your guy. If you bring in Luongo you've pretty much signalled that he's going to be your guy for a long time to come and you've basically given up on Lindback.

Overvaluing Miller by a mile.

By about 28 miles..

That would be sick if the dominoes fell that way. Stevie clearly wants no part of the Luongos contract but maybe Darcy will?

Miller to TB

Then Lu to buffalo for a package around ott

I bet you Stevie agrees he just doesn't want to touch the 9 yr contract. Miller is manageable while luongo is more of a risk

Ott + Ehrhoff?

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

I'd rather have Miller than Luongo, he's younger and on a better term. I don't blame Yzerman at all.

Lets pray this is it

What's Ehrhoff's cap hit? Don't really like the length of his contract.

We get him and somebody has got to go. Garrison is looking really solid and I'm not sure I want to give up Bieksa hamhuis edler or tanev going forward.

Ott and foligno would be my targets, whether we have to add to Lu, I don't know but that is what I'd really like from them.

My thoughts were that he was refering to Dipietro of Bryzgalov, but...

Luo, TB 3rd to Buffalo

Miller to TB

Foligno, Nate Thompson, TB 2nd.

Originally me too.. Watching the miller saga this year, he seems very uninterested. Could be that buffalo was recognizing this and talked potential parts with gillis already but said "look we can't right now but we may be getting rid of miller by the deadline if his attitude doesn't change".

We know gillis is very high on ott and has wanted him since last trade deadline. Maybe this is why he's holding out. He's got the potential guy he wants agreed in principle but he had to wait it out and see how miller unfolds. Going as long as he has with the team of AHLers we have just doesn't make sense.. Unless he has something up his sleeve...

I could totally see him holding out and not panicking if he has something solid to hang on to. Could be they have been talking the entire time and its becoming more assuring that miller is gone and he's gonna get his man... This whole luongo saga would finally make sense lol

-he waited over a year to get David booth
-he loves ott
-we have been in dire need of centre for a while
-he passed on jussi
-passed on halpern
-claimed another team in play but waiting on another player

I dunno, the dots are there, lets see if they connect

Who has the gold again? Oh. Right. But we don't care about that. It's who played good when it didn't matter, right ?

Or then of course there's always the Ferry

Also,
I'm putting together a list of the criteria to be a "real" Canuck's fan. So far I have this:

1. I cheer for the Canucks, whatever happens.
2. I never say anything bad about the Canucks.
3. I know the difference between "real" fans and posers just by how they post on the CDC or where they sit at GM Place.
4. I wouldn't dream of leaving a game before it ended, even if it meant missing a train, ferry or a threesome with the wife and her hot best friend?
5. I make 10+ posts a day and I have over 10,000 posts on the CDC, so my Canuck "street-cred" is huge. Go away noob!
6. No one F's with me. I train in MMA. I'm really tough. I'll curb stomp yo' donkey.
7. I make a tonne of $$$$.
8. I'm witty.
9. If it meant missing a game, I wouldn't study for a midterm.
10. I roll with a guy who has a wicked car.
11. I like to post "source?" a lot.
