He's not ready for prime time yet.

2 goals and a -2 in 8 games.

Nice hands though. Not too many plugs are making those moves.

I agree, set him up to succeed, it's hard to adjust to a smaller rink.

Love that we are not rushing him

Amazing. He has 2 goals and a -2 yet people defend him/his stats. If that was Kassian or Schroeder hell even Burrows/Kesler there would be topics about trading them or saying they are useless.... :S

No disrespect to him, definitely a nice goal and hope he lives up to his expectations, just find people on here quite confusing/funny at times

Discuss :)

Gotta be impressed with that. How ever, that wasn't an NHL goalie. Great move though.

As tempting as it is, we probably shouldn't rush him up to the NHL just yet. Then again, he looks like the kind of player that would thrive in the NHL over the AHL with his size and skill.

The Canucks have averaged under 2 goals for in their last 5 or 6 games. We could always use a boost, and he could be huge for us in the playoffs with his size and youth. Young players seem to be making differences in the playoffs of late (all of the Chicago team, Marchand for Boston, King and Nolan for the Kings) and it's all about breakout players. Raymond and Hansen look like they're breaking out this season, and Jensen could be another.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Hansen - Kesler - Jensen
Raymond - Schroeder - Kassian
Higgins - Lapierre - Weise/Pinizotto

Lots of good chemistry duos across that lineup. The Sedins, the Danes, the two speedsters and the two ex-Habs.

I wouldn't change the Ray/Schro/Hansen line, rather have Kesler with Jensen/Kassian. But I doubt Jensen will join the team this year unless if we suffer even more injuries.

Let me rephrase...could Nik make that work in the NHL?

?? I think its pretty obvious, he already has better hands then some guys in the NHL. including Pouliot. slick move, confident skilled player. could be a good fit on the big club, would be nice to see him get a game or two, see where he is at.

Because we want our AHL coach to be as dim witted as our NHL coach.

I hope next year we bring Iginla as a UFA for next year (if we can fit him under the cap with some moves), He'd be a great tutor / mentor for Kassian and Jensen.

People generally don't start slagging our prospects until they've had a cup of coffee with the big club and didn't light it up, or until they've spent over a year on the farm without a call-up.

Give it time. Eventually there will be CDCers calling him a bust and Gillis an idiot for drafting him.

It's like death and taxes...

Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns had just been torched 8-1 by the Habs, but they still took time to come out to meet us, some fellow BC boys who were playing hockey in Montreal. THAT"S what being a Canuck is!

Car crash a few years back.

Wasn't he hit by a car while crossing at a crosswalk in Vancouver during training camp?

Or then of course there's always the Ferry

Also,
I'm putting together a list of the criteria to be a "real" Canuck's fan. So far I have this:

1. I cheer for the Canucks, whatever happens.
2. I never say anything bad about the Canucks.
3. I know the difference between "real" fans and posers just by how they post on the CDC or where they sit at GM Place.
4. I wouldn't dream of leaving a game before it ended, even if it meant missing a train, ferry or a threesome with the wife and her hot best friend?
5. I make 10+ posts a day and I have over 10,000 posts on the CDC, so my Canuck "street-cred" is huge. Go away noob!
6. No one F's with me. I train in MMA. I'm really tough. I'll curb stomp yo' donkey.
7. I make a tonne of $$$$.
8. I'm witty.
9. If it meant missing a game, I wouldn't study for a midterm.
10. I roll with a guy who has a wicked car.
11. I like to post "source?" a lot.

Watch Bowness somehow mess up Tampa Bay's already amazing 2 powerplay units...he'll probably tell Stamkos to do drop passes from centre ice, take him out from the faceoff dot, and place him infront of the goalie

Shades of Forsberg there. Not sure why people are saying it doesn't work in the NHL, it has been done quite a few times. If you watch Jensen's interviews, he always mentioned the 'head game' of hockey. That's what you need to score those goals, you need to beat the goalie psychologically to pull it off, and I think if he's given the chance and experience to hone his skills there, he could do this in the NHL too.

I've liked what little I've seen of Jensen and wish him good luck on making the team soon. He definitely has potential.

Edit: What's up with him shooting in the SIXTH round anyway? That makes it seem like he's pretty low on the shooting 'totem pole', despite the things I've heard that he's a shoe in to make the team in the near future. Is he like the Sedins or something in that regard? Maybe someone who watches him more on these boards than me can answer that.
