Kass9
Alright, is there anybody out there that listens to 'the Beat 94.5' and 'Sonic 104.9'? Holy crap, do they ever suck. I'm into hip-hop/rap, and they don't play any rap. And the hip-hop is what amuses little girls. Play crap like Taylor Swift. Now, I understand that they play what's popular and what's new, but how are these stations even popular?

stonecoldstevebernier
Vancouver's pretty lax in terms of hip-hop options... all that gets played is mainstream pop-rap on 94.5 and 95.3. 101.9 (CITR, UBC's radio station) has a couple of good hip-hop shows per week, but those are only singular shows - and depending where you are in Metro Vancouver the signal can be pretty iffy. You're probably better off with internet radio, or putting a good playlist together on shuffle (depending on when you're looking to listen, of course.) Gustavo Fring
The laws in canada regarding canadian content blows. Most of the hip hop from the states don't play here, youre better off with satellite radio.

gmen81
I remember when 102.7 played hip hop in the morning. Also 96.1 used to at night.

sameer666
I didn't know people still listen to the radio =P. I mean there's so many options for better quality music. Burning CDs, satellite radio, AUX or blue tooth hookup, etc.

Kass9
It'd be great if there was a station for rap/hip-hop that played NEW RECENT songs instead of me having to check online every single time.
