aqua59
Ah thats a little sad! I think they could've gotten more for him....
Grapefruits
we could have offered Jensen, Gaunce, Tanev and a 1st and Calgary still would't trade him to us.
Punkag
Not too happy with this deal...
ButterBean
meh the Kovalchuk trade a few years back was just as bad for Atlanta and Kovalchuk is better than Iginla. Plus why is everyone pissed? It's the Flames! We're supposed to hate the Lames. Glad they got fleeced.
Apples
Calgarypuck is hilarious, everyone is freaking out about the Iggy trade
canucklax
Seems everyone forgot Iginla gave a list of only 4 teams he'd waive to go to, that severely limits bargaining power, as well as his pending free agency status. That being said, if the pick is conditional, that's a bad news for Calgary
wallstreetamigo
I still can't get over the fact thier building sells out game after game. Why improve the product on the ice, people keep coming. Either they have more money than brains or they're simply not smart. I didn't think things could be more screwed up when Sutter was there but I'm wrong, Feaster is even worse. And people are on Gillis' back.
Smashian Kassian
Really? This has been talked about all week. Every day there has been rumours of Iginla/Boston talks. I would have been surprised if he went anywhere else.
ALTtimegreat
Feaster should be fired on the spot. Alexander Khokhlachev is a great addition but seriously a Conditional 1st
The Brahma Bull
Jay Feaster is definitely the worst GM in the league. Be thankful that we have Gillis.
Pouria
Just heard on tsn, Aaron Ward says Boston sources confirm. Looks like a conditional 1st(2013), Alex Khoklachev, Matt Bartkowski for Iginla. FEASTER U IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More to come. Go to sleep guys.
questforthecup
this trade went from somewhat of a fair deal for both sides to horrible for the flames when the "conditional" part of the first round pick surfaced. very sad to see one of the best Canadian hockey players of our time to get traded to the most despicable organization in hockey. truly disgusting. ugh
aqua59
I think it may be Feaster doing Iggy a favour ... Iggy is in the twilight of his career and he sent him to a contender. Give him a shot at winning the Cup. Kind of like what Dallas did with Morrow. Don't pee on Feaster, it was a classy act.
The Great Dane
These deals the last couple days are astounding. Maybe most of us live in the past and thought morrow and iggy were worth more but this is beyond me. Kinda pissed we couldn't acquire one of these 2 for these prices
Grapefruits
I agree, but for many teams who are legitimately pushing for the cup this year, Iginla is the type of player who is the "last piece to their puzzle." I really refuse to believe that this (pathetic) deal was the highest Calgary could fetch for their team captain. My god, they couldn't even get a first rounder out of it. Otis
To be fair much of this same argument could be applied to Gillis and the Canucks.

Blueberries
Here's something interesting. @RenLavoieRDS Don't kill the messenger here. Bruins are telling me no deal in place for Jarome Iginla and no deal will be done tonight.
sharnhayre
Trading Iginla from Calgary is like trading Linden from Vancouver. It hurts the team and the city. Good luck to Iginla, hate that you're a Bruin though.
