boxiebrown
Far from it. Not much offensive upside but a beast defensively.

Baercheese
Iggy only wanted to go to the Pens.... nothing else could've been done the Boston deal was pretty much done as Feaster & Weisbrod left the pressbox as soon as the Boston game ended, but Jarome said no

Smashian Kassian
Damien Cox has to give his worthless opinion. Damien Cox @DamoSpin 43s As suggested Iginla leaves Calgary for, well, not much. Notion Flames captain would fetch great deal similar to VAN dream that Luongo would

Ghostsof1915
http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/PIT?year=2013 $6.620 Mil cap space before Iggy. $7.0 Mil for Iggy. Not sure if they get cap relief for injuries but they must be right up against the cap.
Tystick
To the people bashing Gillis: He's not in a position to do the sort of moves that Pittsburgh recently did without giving up our already thin future. Be patient with Gillis because he will get us a good return for one of our goaltenders.
MoneypuckOverlord
Oh gosh, its funny how everyone one of us were probably googling those 2 players. So this is how it ended up... Calgary trades their heart and soul for a 1st round pick, a prospect draftd in the 5th round 3 years ago, and a prospect that was drafted in round 3 4 years ago????? What's Vancouver equivalent.... Prospect drafted in the 3rd round in 2009.... Kevin Connauton, since he was drafted after him, Anton Rodin, so Anton Rodin Prosptect drafted in 5th round in 2010. Adam Polasek So in Vancouver's equivlanet is our 1st round pick, Plus Anton Rodin and Polasek for Jarome Iginla? Lets put this way, Calgary got screwed in the Phaneuf trade, they got screwed big time in the Iginla trade.

RunningWild
So TSN panel just said Pitts realizes they won't be able to re-sign Iggy this summer due to their cap. Crazy. So Iggy likely becomes a free agent this summer. Where does he go?

Watermelons
I don't even know if I can make a better team on NHL 13.... I hope MG makes a trade fast because we are falling behind. The 2011 Canucks got hot at the right time and reached the finals...I'd argue that our team in 2011 was a step ahead of most teams in the NHL but after losing Ehrhoff and Torres and improvements from other teams I think many teams have surpassed the Canucks.. Smashian Kassian
Some more dumb*** words from the peanut brain of the all mighty Damien. Damien Cox @DamoSpin 1m Just the beginning. Kiprusoff could still go. Stay tuned.
Green Building
The only thing better about this deal is that it is a guarnteed 1st (although likely 30th overall now). The prospects are a serious WTF compared to Khokhlachev.
laxgoalie
I'm calling it now, Pittsburgh loses in the first round. Yes I know how stacked they are, but I feel like there will be a huge upset.
