That Bruins thread of HF was absolute gold, GOLD!

I'm getting a good laugh out of the Flames Forum too. Boston totally got trolled on this one, its not their fault. Aaron Ward owes them a apology.

You know... makes me appreciate having a gm like Mike Gilllis.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

PIT doesn't have enough captains. I think they should grab one of Pominville, Doan, Lecavalier, Thorton or Ovechkin while they are at it. <_<

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

I actually like the Flames though, but I feel bad for them, though I do think Iginla is back in the summer, so I guess they got an ok deal for losing their captain for a month

Does anyone know how Penguins aren't over the cap?

Iggy only took up about 2M of their cap space...

He's on his last year so his cap hit is significantly less than 7mil. Same with Morrow. If those players still had another year after this. They would feel to full cap hit.

How does that make sense? His cap hit for the Flames was the 7M.

I hope they win it this year. Of course I would love the Canucks to win it but Iginla deserves the cup more than most players.

Why? He chose to stay with a garbage team all these years but somehow deserves a shot at a cup because he is a nice guy and good team player? He doesn't deserve to win over anyone else.

According to capgeek, Iggy only takes up 2M of cap space for the pens. I have no idea why though. Hopefully someone else does.

This does look like bs though I agree.

What's the point in having a cap then

Makes sense... flawed rule IMO. Guess I wouldnt be complaining if we used the tactic lol.

What if we get gaborik ffor example? Would we get the full hit since he still has a year remaining? Or would we get partial this year and then the full hit next year

LMAO Awesome! I know I will be streaming every Penguins game. I don't care what anyone says, I am so freakin happy for Iginla. I can't stand the Flames. If we get to watch Sid hand the cup over to Iggy it will be a great day for the NHL and fans from all over.

Anyone else feel like this after Jarome got traded to Pens and the deadline creeps in! Again, how do they keep doing it and how many draft picks or options these guys have? Why can they just pick up anyone they want? Where is the cap room on this team? Why can't we just go pick up Ribero and Gaborick like it ain't no thing, giving up nothing and getting everything in return? I think Glen's legacy in Edmonton just got trumped by Dan in Pittsburgh. Only time will tell, wish we had such good fortune. Go Canucks Go.....uuuurrrrrrr.

Bylsma says Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis will stay intact.

Looks like it's a Neal-Malkin-Iginla line.

Scariest 2nd line outside of the Olympics that I will have ever witnessed.

hehe... not if someone messes up Malkin's knee, gives Crosby a concussion, takes Iginla and Morrow off their game, and plays dirty against them....

If the Canucks stand pat and have an early exit, I'm calling Aquilini and Keanan personally on a three way conference call.

I would put Kennedy on the 3rd line. Scored 45 points a couple years ago and he's a solid 2-way player.

A couple things.

lol at people handing the cup to Pitt, I highly doubt they win. They have the same problems as last year. Goal scoring was never a problem and their defence and goaltending hasn't really improved.

Secondly they can fit it under the cap because it only costs $2 million to rent Iggy for the rest of year.

I'll laugh when they are out. Not enough time for this team to get IMO.

You keep telling yourself that sonny Jim <_<

Makes sense too, since Cooke and Morrow are both natural LW's. But if Kennedy is on the 3rd line, who centres the 4th? I actually think Beau Bennett might get a chance to play on the 3rd a natural 3rd liner with pottential to be a high scorer (scored 120pts in 56 games in the BCHL) who could learn a two-way game from Sutter and Morrow.
