sgt. grumbles
Yeah those were the days weren't they... Considering a generation is no longer human but technological, a generation went from 25 years to five years. So in effect, 2011 was 10 years ago. canuckelhead70
no I really don't miss having to win 14 out of the last 18 games just to make the play-offs with the WCE. They were exciting to watch but always seemed to be out of gas once the play-offs started because of the effort they had to do just to get in. Bert/Nas/Morr were one if not the elite line of that time. Those guys were tight and stronge with eachother while they played together. Those teams had some great Canuck hero's on them but the 90-96 Canucks teams had legends on them!!

chrisbanks
the WCE express days rocked becasue we played in the hardest division in the league every night was a battle crawford had everyone in the lineup hitting and playing uptempo hockey .. since our division has went in the crapper so has the entertainment of our games most nights.. people wonder why we were out of gas bythe time the playoffs rolled around , look at the battles every other night we had vs a great colorado team and a very phsycle wild team really good alberta teams who both made runs to the cup during thoes years.... every night was intense

Tru_Knyte
frack, I must be getting old when the WCE era is considered to be the "old" Canucks
TimberWolf
Well I don't feel really really old now...
spliced
I wouldn't exactly call the WCE the "old" Canucks. They were exciting but the also had Cloutier and won only 1 playoff series. So it wasn't all good.
Moonshinefe
Sure I miss them. Linden, Naslund, etc. Is anyone old enough here to remember when John Garett was our goaltender?
-Vintage Canuck-
Yeah, I really miss the WCE days! Also, the days before Messier came here. At least GM Place was rocking back then, and look at it now....
