the WCE express days rocked becasue we played in the hardest division in the league every night was a battle crawford had everyone in the lineup hitting and playing uptempo hockey .. since our division has went in the crapper so has the entertainment of our games most nights.. people wonder why we were out of gas bythe time the playoffs rolled around , look at the battles every other night we had vs a great colorado team and a very phsycle wild team really good alberta teams who both made runs to the cup during thoes years.... every night was intense

I wouldn't exactly call the WCE the "old" Canucks.

They were exciting but the also had Cloutier and won only 1 playoff series. So it wasn't all good.

Is anyone old enough here to remember when John Garett was our goaltender? B)

Yeah, I really miss the WCE days! Also, the days before Messier came here. At least GM Place was rocking back then, and look at it now....

If you go to junior (bcjhl) hockey games you will see Jack McIlhargey, Snepts and old canucks so then you wont miss them. You might not recognize them as they sure look different now.

The West Coast express was awesome but that team was pretty one dimensional. Weak defense, worse goaltending, a decent second line in the Sedins but not a very deep team all around. Exciting to watch, without a doubt.

I miss the 2011 Canucks.

I don't. We're not as dominant as we were two years ago but we're still winning. Shows the depth this team really has and I think this year they're gelling a lot better together. 2011 the Sedins and Kesler carried the team. Last year Higgy was the most consistent player and this year it's Hansen and Raymond (of the skaters).

2001-2006 is "the old Canucks"??? Ok, that would make me prehistoric. Thanks.

I dont know. I went with "the beginning of time itself." But yes, yours is better.

BAD MOVE!!!

BAD FING MOVE

HAHAHA ANOTHER INJURED MORON ON OUR TEAM

HE WILL JOIN US IN 2019

Benning will be fired next year. Hope he enjoys screwing around for a few months. I just cant believe this. Another injured BC player. We just got rid of garrison. Seems like the canucks and linden just wanted any BC born player. Doesn't matter if hes good or not. We don't need another Linden to get us to game 7 of the Stanley cup and lose. We need someone to win us a cup.

5 million a year for Vrbata? 6 million for Miller? Kesler for Bonino and 24th instead of 10th pick or one of their top prospects? Garrison for scraps?

ive already lost faith in JB. Ive never EVER had this bad of a feeling about management.

How many Canucks fans that post here are over 50 years old and can remember the Canucks in their first year?

Missing old Canucks.,huh? Most CDC'ers were not even born to be able to miss the old Canucks.

I bet that 85%+ of all that post here never even saw Stan play.

Canucks need Steamer on the Sedin line. Stan would have been the team captain in any era.

I miss the 2010/2011 canucks. We're winning right now, but holy we're playing some boring ass hockey. It's really painful to watch with no entertainment value.
