Ilya Mikheyev
Last week, Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren and director of hockey ops Chris Pryor created buzz in their native Minnesota by scouting both the WCHA's Final Five tournament and the Wild's home game against San Jose. The Flyers' brass wanted a closer look at Brent Burns, among others. Whether or not it's Burns the Flyers are truly targeting, it won't be at all surprising to see Holmgren go after a defenseman. The pending free-agent market isn't impressive.
Xbox
When your biggest rival is making huge moves (Pittsburgh) and you're team is sitting 14th in the east you can't just "do nothing". If I were Philly, I'd amnesty buy out Briere (Cap space + he refuses to waive his NMC) and Byrzgalov because he has been AWFUL! And trade Hartnell. Everyone except Timonen, Schenn, Schenn, Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds should be in play. They should go through a rebuild. All of their key players (besides Timomen) are all young. Philadelphia has the chance to have a dynasty in the future but needs to act soon. Players like Coburn, Meszaros and Hartnell could all bring in a solid return. CB007
I hope Phili gets him for a good deal. A more balance of power in the East helps us if we ever get to the SCF.
Tangelos
A little too late to make moves, Philly will be going for the lottery pick this year lol.
Gustavo Fring
Burns ain't thst great. Philly should just tank for Jones.
CanucksFanMike
Well I guess this makes sense.... Philly is looking for a dman and Burns has been playing forward as of late, so obviously the Sharks don't really need him anymore. Philly could have a "get burned" pair lol Braydon Coburn and Brent Burns
Gross-Misconduct
Burns is a good Dman. I'd like him too but he's not gonna be enough for Philly to make a push. They will not come out of the East. They are way over matched.

Canucks_Hockey_101
Brent Burns would look good in Vancouver
Phil_314
Hmm, maybe it makes sense but the Sharks gave up so much to get him and they just signed him! Would they move Brent so quickly? Alternatively, would they have an interest in someone like Giordano in Calgary or Regehr in Buffalo? Philly has some decent young forwards when they need D-men to hold down their own end, and the Flames need to rebuild from the ground up (the Sabres should be sellers too). spliced
What's the point. Burns is not the answer to their problems. If they finish 28th or something I wonder if they will go all out for Seth Jones. 3rd overall and Couturier for 1st overall or something like that. After seeing how Pronger helped them(and hurt them now that he's gone) that big #1 D could be appealing enough for them.
oldnews
Burns is a big disappointment to SJ imo.. Turns out they got fairly taken in that deal. Setoguchi hasn't lit the world on fire, but Charlie Coyle looks like a hell of a young center, and they threw in a 1st in that deal as well... Haven't been impressed by Burns in the least in their matchups against the Canucks. Anyhow, if Philly is looking for something, it should be the end of Bryzgalov. Luo for Couturier and a 1st. Xbox
They need Brent Burns. I believe he is under rated. PHI needs another RH top d man because Schenn on the top pairing isn't cutting it. As much as I love Schenn, he is more suited for a 2nd/3rd pairing role.
