Hamhuis Hipcheck
To those that think the team is going to be only for prospects, there's going to be AHL vets as well. If team was 100% prospects, we'd be bottom dwellers. Not a very good business.

Raiun
This is great news. :D Get the Heat outta Abbotsford and move the team! Obvious next step, good for everyone.
Chronic.Canuck
Awesome! We could see an all Canucks' prospects d-corp next year with the likes of Andersson, Corrado, Price, Connauton, Sauve, Tommernes. Not bad!

Canuck or Die
Agreed 100%. As much as I'm glad that prospects are going to be given bigger roles now that the Canucks own a farm team, it would be silly for every single spot to be filled with prospects. You also need some solid AHL veterans in the mix to be successful. Given the Canucks' lack of center prospects, I can definitely see Ebbett being kept in the fold to fill the #1 or 2 center role and I'd be very happy with that. Look for a couple veteran AHL defenseman or NHL call-ups on two way contracts to be in there as well.
Nuxfanabroad
Might this influence the choices of college FA's(ahem, Mr Laganeire) in choosing Van, in that we have more control over the development process? Overall excellent news!
DownUndaCanuck
They'll probably suck next season, but I'd tune in to watch Jensen and Gaunce play on a line together (if Gaunce is eligible?)
Coconuts
Man, this is great news for our prospects. Unlike Chicago we'll actually be in control of who plays on this team, and be able to run the organization from top to bottom. I can't wait to see how this plays out, whether they end up closer to home or not.
NuxFan09
Who is saying we will only have prospects playing? What people are saying is that we will have full control of our own team, meaning we decide who plays. Yeah, we will have vets, but it will be our vets, not someone else's. Allt svartnar
Fraser Rivermen would be a nice all-province name. Almost.
