They did give up a ton for him 2 years ago... which inevitably... they won the cup. but still.

Surprised that Gillis didn't try to offer Ballard for him.

He's far past his prime. Plus we already have almost all of our defence making 4mil and beyond.

Maybe that's the PMD we're looking for in the powerplay.

I can see Philly going for him. They just lost Coburn and I think they're still trying to make the playoffs

I rather have neither both are garbage and an absolute waste of cap space.

That's the only successful thing the Leafs have been able to do back then!

He has a high cap hit and has a year remaining. Maybe Detroit takes a flyer on him and tries to revive his game their?

If Mtl agreed, Id trade Ballard for him after he clears waivers. That way he can get his game back together in Chicago, before a possible re-call. Ballard has an extra year on his deal, so Kaberle would be a cheaper buy-out. Kaberle could at least provide a potential puck mover to the PP and could possibly look great feeding Garrison one-timers...

Mtl is good on the point with Subban and Markov, they have no need for Kabs... Vancouver could get something out of him IMO.

I could see the Isles making a move for him...I don't see too many other teams even taking a second look at Kaberle though.

I'm not going to lie, I wanted the Canucks to go after him in 2011... But watching him in the Finals was great, he turned the puck over every shift basically. I don't think anyone could've expected how terrible he's become. He WAS so good when he was younger, him and Leetch made the best d-pairing on any PP in a long time...
