Quite a few sources (no one like TSN) report that Crosby is fine and will play Tuesday.

EDIT: nhl.com has this to say http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=663047

Crosby out indefinitely

NO CONCUSSION RELATED SYMPTOMS. STRICTLY ORAL SURGERY.

The bad news is it looks like Crosby will be out of the line-up for a few weeks.

The good news is he is projected to be back in time by playoffs and is not suffering any concussion symptoms. Remains strictly oral. There is still a chance at an early return as he is only "considered" day to day.

Some sources on the "invalid sources" list say he is fine and will play Tuesday. (They are considered invalid for a reason, but are known to get a few.)

You sir, if I can even call you sir. After making that comment, you should be deemed as a dumbass. You try taking a puck to the mouth and breaking your jaw.

If YOU can take that and able to play nhl hockey then fine you can call him a wuss. But if you can't then stfu and stop acting like a tough guy behind your computer screen.

By your "logic" you might as well call everyone who is injured a wuss.

This guy is the best player in the NHL. What gives you the right to say this about him? You'll never even come close to what he has achieved already at age 25. You will never make 104M over 12 years.

He took a 120km/h piece of flying HARD RUBBER which is extremely LETHAL in the HEAD area which contains your BRAIN, TEETH, MOUTH, EYES, NOSE while having a CONCUSSION HISTORY and you're calling him a baby? Let's see you skate off the ice after getting hit in the FACE with a puck like it was nothing.

What will this mean for the trophy race. If he is out for the rest of the regular season someone will pass him for the Art Ross most likely, the question is who would get the MVP? Tough call.

Yea I was wondering that too. He's clearly the best player, but it's hard to award the MVP to someone who misses 1/4 of the season.

Well a lot of people are saying that even if he misses the rest of the regular season he's still going to win the Hart. I can see it. I mean even if he misses the rest of the season he's going to finish in the top 5 for scoring.

I can see it happening too, though I wouldn't agree with it.

Missing 1/4 of a season is just too much, even in a shortened season. Unless he somehow wins the art ross.

Sometimes in the english language, there are words that are spelled and pronounced the same, but mean different things. This is the case with the word 'poor'. As you know it it means 'lacking in money'. But, its can also mean 'unfortunate'. I think that's what the other comment is referring to, and that is the source of your confusion.

He's not going to win the Art Ross. Stamkos will pass him. The only way Crosby wins the Art Ross is if he only misses a couple weeks and can play the in the Penguins last 6 games. But with a broken jaw that's highly improbable.

And you can also make the argument that despite missing 1/4 of the season Crosby is going to finish in the top 5 or 10 for scoring, which is extremely impressive.

That will be the argument used no doubt. Kind of unfair to anyone like Stamkos who would pass him and therefore should have the edge in the Hart race. We'll see how it goes. I just prefer to see someone new win it as much as possible.

Solid post, but there's just not enough bolded underlines.

The guy's never gonna win another scoring title at this rate, just gonna get an injury halfway through each season. At least he'll be back for playoffs.
