apollo
Luongo's not elite. If he actually out performed Schneider he would have had the starting job, but instead he chooses to whine like a baby because he finally has some competition in net. Nevermind actually playing for that starting job, instead Luongo feels it's his no questions asked. So he makes everything public, great move Luo. Too bad you'll regret your decision to leave the Canucks, you classless doit.
Canuck Surfer
Well; we do have a good team, but hardly a favorite. The secret to this year's Vancouver cup is one of our goalies has to steal the cup ala rookie Patrick Roy.
sampy
seriously? blame the player for taking money? MG is a GM, his job is manage a hockey team, Lui's job is to stop pucks and make as much money as possible while he's able.

Canuck Surfer
You reckon Columbus would have given us Nash for Lou? Didn't know u and no heart were getting serious "buddy" ... whens the engagement? Cory should have been gone. We could have easily got Nash. Would have got us a cup last year.
oldnews
That would be gangster if he said "I'm gonna go win Vancouver a f%*+in cup." Then dropped the mic and walked off stage. Beauty press conference. Real honest. Much respect for doing that and clearing absolutely everything up. Anyone who tries to spin those honest words should just shut your mouth now because that was as candid as it gets.

CroSen
lol...you again So tell me. What's the better option: -Trading him for basically "nothing" now and having unused cap space with no quality backup to Schneider. -Trading him this summer for at least "nothing" (hopefully more) and retaining the best backup in the league in case Corey falters or gets injured. How exactly is the latter better for the team? It doesn't help them this year, in the playoffs or regular season.
Canucks_Hockey_101
The past 3 cup winners weren't favorites. Any team can get hot at the right time in the playoffs.

DeNiro
A good reminder too is that the Canucks did lose to the eventual Cup winner three years in a row... Not too shabby really...
oldnews
What were the Leafs essentially saying to Reimer by publicly shopping for a goaltender who did not want to go there, and who is having the worst season on his career at a .868 sv%. What does it say to Scrivens?
mangosteens
If Luongo was going to be traded for "nothing" or just futures, it needed to be done earlier in the season. At least then the cap hit could have been put to use. Right now Luongo on the bench is of more use than some draft picks or cap space. After the season is over, that is no longer true. riffraff
9 mil in the pipes 5'-9" 2nd/3rd line C with 4 goals and a UFA A duct taped Kesler A hurt mayray A hurt Weise A dismal pp Our best prospect/ rookie superseded by sweatt, Jensen, sestito and pinner The ghost of Edler Ye, we're good. riffraff
What would we have used Lu's cap hit for if we traded him? Doesn't matter if there's 5 mil sitting on the bench if we couldn't replace it with anything significant. Roy has 22 points...He immediately becomes our 3rd leading scorer. Good job trying to focus on his goal totals to make him seem like less of a player. Shows how much you know about him. Roy is a passer. You need passers to score goals. Kesler, Raymond, and Weise should all be back in a week. And this may be the healthiest Kesler has been because he`s had lots of time to heal up after his surgery. Roy helps the powerplay big time. And Kassian will be back and better than ever.
