@sportsnetmurph: #canucks have recalled Nicklas Jensen and Bill Sweat from Chicago. Zack Kassian has been re-assigned.

@sportsnetmurph: #canucks have also re-assigned Andrew Gordon.

Some people have gotten their wish

Desperate moves for desperate times IMO......

Corey Perry 28pts
Rick Nash 28pts
Cody Hodgson 28pts
Zack Kassian AHL

Yeah but codys been in buffalos first line since the start of the season... if I do recall kassian was making pace with hodgson when kassian was on our first line. But production stopped when he got moved to the third.

Different scenarios.

I agree, could be good for Kassian, may also be good to inject some youthful enthusiasm with Jensen, see what the kid has. Could also just as easily backfire, depends on how AV uses the kid/kids.I guess we will see.

Watch him be called up in like 3 more games if Jensen doesn't do anything.

Did u even watch the 6 in a row ?

My god they should have lost 3 of those games easy.

This team hasn't been able to produce offense for years now.

Sure did watch the games before and yes we did look bad, still not the end of the world when we're first in the division.

Once some of our players get back from injury the scoring woes should go. Not having a 2nd line center for practically all year is our problem.

I don't know why everyone is making it sound so difficult.

Conditional stint. This is usually what happens to young players who are coming back from injury. He'll be back after playing 2-3 games. It's simple, really. Not rocket science.

not sure if you are serious, but you are seriously delusional.

this year they have struggled to score with an AHL lineup most of the year. We sit 20th in goals for.

last year we were 5th

year before we were 1st

yes we have struggled "for years" to score goals.

Why do you think they are calling up those playersm (and sending others down) ???? Because we are playing well???

So, I just wanna get this straight. Kassian gets sent down because the entire team sucked last night though he didn't even play.

Really??

Really???

One day some of us will look back on the year and look at the chicago, and most of us will realize that it was a small bump in the road to the cup

Well glad to see they are bringing in some new blood. Now if they would just call someone up to replace Ebbett.

I would like to see K Connauton get a shot and can't understand why he hasn't yet especially after painfully watching pylons like Alberts and Barker looking horrible and clearly in over their heads.

For all we know this guy could give our struggling power play a bit of a boost which they clearly need.

Connauton brings it all to the table i would love to see this guy bring it.

Different scenarios.

Completely different. One player has done everything needed to keep his spot on the top line, improving his defensive side of the game while bringing leadership and an amazing vision to the ice and the other is now going back to the AHL.

Or then of course there's always the Ferry

Also,
I'm putting together a list of the criteria to be a "real" Canuck's fan. So far I have this:

1. I cheer for the Canucks, whatever happens.
2. I never say anything bad about the Canucks.
3. I know the difference between "real" fans and posers just by how they post on the CDC or where they sit at GM Place.
4. I wouldn't dream of leaving a game before it ended, even if it meant missing a train, ferry or a threesome with the wife and her hot best friend?
5. I make 10+ posts a day and I have over 10,000 posts on the CDC, so my Canuck "street-cred" is huge. Go away noob!
6. No one F's with me. I train in MMA. I'm really tough. I'll curb stomp yo' donkey.
7. I make a tonne of $$$$.
8. I'm witty.
9. If it meant missing a game, I wouldn't study for a midterm.
10. I roll with a guy who has a wicked car.
11. I like to post "source?" a lot.

Kass can work 1st line mins/and pp positoning...Gordon had a tough game last nite (but so did pretty much everyone) I think this is a tough shortened schedule on all players...and I think Laine in faceoffs would be worth a look.

^ This

Not sure if its his back or what, but he is one of the biggest cherry picking floaters I have ever seen

Anyone notice that when the puck is along the boards he skates away from it to await the pass.

This is the best thing that could happen to him.

He will be back, better

Or how about the people that said the hodgson trade was garbage and now it's garbage.

Yes I'm one of those garbage trade people.

I think the trade was garbage as well and I think it's a great call to send zack down but only because he's not ready to work as hard as he needs to. I hope he some day will work out because he has the skill.

To all the posters that think its a bad call to send him down and that he should be on the first line???? The twins played like crap with zack and most of zacks goals were on the PP. why AV didn't use him on the PP more is unknown but first line LOL.

Zac gets a little shock treatment, about time. No one no matter how good they are can coast in the NHL and Kassian looks like a coaster these last few weeks
