underrated
Dallas is on the verge of the playoffs but with Morrow being traded, five other teams they are competing with for the final spot and a few UFA's with trade value...I think they will continue to sell. There are two guys on that team who fit us perfectly. Vernon Fiddler and Stephane Robidas. Fiddler is a tough, third line center who is pretty good in the faceoff circle. He's a playoff tough nosed performer and brings the element to the team that we need. Robidas is a right handed defenseman who is a pass-first guy (since we have shooters like Garrison and Elder who are shooters on the left side). He is a poised veteran who is definitely a guy who we'd want for a playoff run. Both players are signed on for one more season at quite good levels (Fiddler 1.8, Robidas 3.3). Obviously trades totally depend on who the other GM likes and is interested in. It would be good to see Ballard as a part of the deal but Dallas may not like that. Most likely picks and prospects. What do you think the value would be for these two guys (considering they are not simply rentals)?
