NuckFanLivingInCalgary:(
I am sure he doesn't care. Pronouncing it 'Yensen' is the true danish way of saying it. Jensen is a VERY common Danish name. I think it means son of John. My Grandparents are from Denmark, and my uncle's name is Jan. Pronounced 'Yan' by my grandparents and everyone in Denmark. Here people call him 'Jan'. roland
I first thought it was Jensen with a J sound, but I heard someone somewhere (may have been Bob McKenzie) pronounce it as Yensen and I have been saying it that way ever since.
Oh Whisht
When he first came, they said it was Yensen. I believe that's the correct Danish pronunciation. However, last night on the broadcast, Cheech and Shorty clarified that they had asked him, and Niklas said to pronounce it Jensen. I don't know whether he prefers that, or whether it's just easier having people say it one way or t'other.
#17forlife
Those who pronounce it as Yensen are very well educated. Jensen is a Danish name, in the Danish language like in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, the J is pronounced as a Y. Which is why we say "Yannik Hansen", and not Ja-nnik Hansen. Niklas himself has said it is pronounced as Yensen.

bluewhitegreen
If there's gonna be a Q&A with Jensen, this is going to be my question. I would also ask Hansen how he would pronounce it Ginseng
LionofJudah
*jou're EDIT: It's honestly irritating though how some people seem to believe that every language follows the same rules as English. If you want to pronounce the Danish name how people from Denmark who speak Danish say it, it's pronounced Yensen. That is the correct pronunciation, as that is how is pronounced when following the pronunciation rules of Danish, where the name comes from.
