Wheels22
If he decides to re-sign here for a fair salary, it will be an amazing trade!
TimberWolf
Good trade. I'll miss Kevin and Roy is not huge but we really really needed this.
sampy
Based on what? Robyn Friggin Regher got TWO second round picks. I'd say this is at the very least fair value
DontTouchMeGuys
great trade. roy has had good offensive numbers and is a versatile forward which gillis wanted.
gizmo2337
... 2nd round pick should have been a 3rd or 4th. Bye Kevin.
thad
Whatever, we got a centre. We're going to get to watch the playoffs this year. We draft a guy in the second round and half this board explodes in anger we drafted the wrong guy anyways. I'm not a Roy guy either but we got one of the best centreman on the trading block so I'm happy. Thanx gillis, make one more move, a signed clowe please. Neil HD
I don't mind it, Connauton would have a tough time making our roster,
rb4u
GMMG YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!! When are you going to realize that this team is going nowhere this year. 2nd round and out. Well worth the pick and Connauton.... NOT!
aGENT
idk why you people are so gloomy. Connauton isn't going to pan out.
Kumquats
So, Buffalo moved Roy to Dallas so Hodgson could be their top center. Vancouver moved Hodgson because he wanted to be a top center. Vancouver gets Roy to fill our 3rd line center role since Hodgson was traded. Yeah..
Salo'sBomb
Signed Clowe and Boyle is what we need now. I don't care if it depletes some of our prospects, the Nucks need to make a run NOW.
apollo
This is extremely fair value this year. Roy should have at least got a first. Oh and to all the idiots saying galliardis won't deal with aquilini ... hows the hay taste now?
riffraff
Big whoop.....another player to get trashed for one round if playoffs.
Salo'sBomb
Not speaking for anyone else but Roy is just "meh" IMO. Another small'ish 2nd 3rd line tweener. He's a band aid. I was hoping for something more substantial and long term. Either a true top 6 playmaker or a bigger/meaner Ott-esque 3rd C. He fill a much needed to be filled hole but ..."meh"
Dion Phaneuf
Excellent deal. Kevin's nothing special...just another overrated prospect. Basically a Gragnani in the making. Sedin - Sedin - Jensen Burrows - Roy - Kesler ??????
Edlerberry
WITH A SECOND. FOR A RENTAL? The softest C this side of ribeiro. For a team looking for "toughness". Hodgson was much better defensively than Roy. Roy better re-sign, and for cheap because he doesn't deserve a penny more than he makes now.
aGENT
He was a first liner on Buffalo. He's not a 2nd 3rd line tweener by any means.
canuckbeliever
Going to say this. The Roy deal smells like one which the Canucks could utilize to put Kes at RW. Roy is small as crap but he is one hell of a set up man and for the sake of preserving longevity for Kes it makes sense to move him to RW as he would be less likely to be injured

forklift_ole
Ugh, too much for a rental. The Canucks' D prospects were already thin, and Connauton was the most NHL ready of them.
