Tangelos
Please avoid Clowe at all costs! Don't know why everyone wants him. He has 0 goals and can't skate.
canucktican
I had a dream last night that Luongo was traded for Bozak and Franson but this is good too!
gaydar
Could we ice a potential line up like this come playoffs?: Sedin-Sedin-Kassian Higgins-Kesler-Burrows (shut down line) Booth-Roy-Clowe Sestito-Lapierre-Hansen

TheRocket18
Had a look at capgeek.... Apparently we are over now by $500,000? http://capgeek.com/canucks/ If we put Booth on LTI does that allow us some extra space for another player?
73 Percent
So is there any chance roy resigns with us?
UFCanuck
After the Boston series CDC says we're too small. Now that we add Kassian, Booth, Sestito we're too big and not enough skill. Now we add Roy and he's too small. GTFO. Roy is a PROVEN offensive threat, get over your Gillis hate folks.

BigRedMachine
People have to remember Gillis is a magician with signing guys and negotiating contracts so don't jump to conclusions about Roy not resigning here. Wait and see.

73 Percent
I'd say so. Can't see MG getting him if not. He doesn't seem to like rentals only
Tangelos
ok so all In all I say we win this trade if he signs with us. Obviously lose if he walks.
bolt
this is a great trade for the team. everyone calls for a trade then craps there pants when connauton gets dealt? CONNAUTON?? who cares! i'm willing to bet the people calling this a bad trade haven't been watching the wolves a whole lot this year. connauton was losing his playing time to andersson. his defensive game hasn't improved enough. the second round pick is a bit worrisome though. who knows who that could end up being. edit: wish the pick was conditional based on him resigning. votrechien
The Canucks buy out Booth in the off season and lose Luongo off the books and possibly something is done with Ballard. Roy probably signs for somewhere around $4mil. Pretty easy to fit him in.

Ghostdivision
Jesus you people have no idea in this canucks eco system on here, connauton had not been overly impressive at the ahl level, good defensively, bad defensively, and it was unclear if he could crack the nhl, a 2nd for roy and him is incredibly cheap, dallas fans not happy with the return. Everyone on here overvalues our own prospects, other fanbases are praising this deal, hawks fans dont understand why they signed handzus and not him, anaheim fans upset they missed him for this low of asking price, but on cdc fans are appalled it costed us K-con.... and a late 2nd, unreal. We will have alot of cap room to move next year so who knows if this is a rental, if he plays good with lou, ballard, and either raymond/booth being moved in the off season we could re-sign him if gillis see's fit. And I believe for people saying he wants 6 this started with kypreos on hc at noon and he actually said he wants closer to 6, did not hear him say hes asking for 6. And that all remains to be seen yet after the season is over.
