Ilya Mikheyev Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 STOKED. Roy for a super late 2nd (now that he's on the team) + a mid-level prospect who hasn't shown much defensive progress? Yessss. 6 points in his last 5 games. 25 playoff points in 41 games NOT BAD. Not great either but he's defensively responsible and could very well save the 2nd PP unit. Only the Sedins & Edler have more PP points that Roy and he's missed some games. If GMMG manages to add a winger as well I'll be even more stoked, but this is awesome. kloubek Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 I think Roy has the talent to fit in with this team and we certainly needed a centre. With that said, this team needs grit and size, and Roy is a detriment in that regard. Plus, once Kesler comes back does he switch to wing? Not sure putting one of our best players in an unnatural position is the best thing.... Still excited to see how Roy plays though. The guy has been a point-a-game player in the past and isn't exactly too old to replicate a similar performance with the right team and chemistry...
