Now that Clowe is gone, who's left with size and scoring ability?

98 posts in this topic

We need size and we've all seen this in the past playoffs series. I wonder who Gillis will target now? Is Dubinsky a good fit or even available? Any other guys that fit the profile I'm looking for? I thought Ott would of been a perfect fit on this team but now that they signed Roy I guess not. Calgary has some pretty good 4th liner in Tim Jackman that would add some size and grit.

Get Torres, Pominville, and another D for depth and canucks are good to go.

Daniel - Henrik - Burrows

Raymond - Kesler - Pominville

Higgins - Roy - Hansen

Torres - Lapierre - Kassian

Lucic, Stewart, Bertuzzi and Kassian (Bert and Kass to a lesser extent) are the only players in the league that are similar to Clowe.

Zak Kassian ;)

Just need to surround him with some other similar players that have as good of on ice vision as he does. Mind you he still needs time, but he'd be as good if not better then anyone we'd be able to trade for.

The man with zero goals was what you considered scoring ability? I am extremely happy we did not pay for Clowe

I'd give a 1st for Stewart but I'd doubt St. Louis would be willing to trade him. I could see Torres as a good fit but we still need some size to protect the Sedins. I know Clowe had no goals but he has pretty decent stats in the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind him but he asked to be traded out of here if I remember correctly. So I don't think he would come back here.

We don't need any more size, we need a player who can score. Kesler is coming back, Sestito is ???? massive, and the Canucks are generally not physical anyway. We need a SCORER. A mix between Raymond and Hansen, if you will.

Yeah just go and get them. It's so simple I can't believe they haven't done that already!
