Neversummer
If I was Nonis, I'd force Van's hand ... remember all the Leafs have to do for a successful season is make it into the playoffs. Wait till summer, more choices for goalie or let Canucks buy Luongo out and then pick him up for a 3-4 year contract.
Neversummer
Maybe a 3 way between Van, Tor, and Buf seeing Reimer to Van Miller to Tor Luongo to Buf
Merci
u realize your trading away luongo who is still considered a top 6 goalie in the nhl for a ufa and a rfa!
_lax_
Bro you have no idea what yur talking about. if there is no trade there,s no trade. this lie about keeping him untill there,s a deal is BS. you have no cap space if he is around with no takers before next season starts he will be bought out. To be honest for signing that dumb contract you should have to pay the piper and learn from it. and theres a few other teams in the same boat.if burke did anything to make me happy he did not sign dumb contracts like this. Aladeen
Why the hell do we need another 4th line plug that does nothing but bench warm? That is the most stupidest trade proposal even if it's a joke it's still pretty stupid.
Karlsson`s Flo
Right, because the Canucks prospect pool is SO much deeper than ours.
Googs
It seems clear. We need to wait until after the playoffs. The landscape is not good for trading Lu. Give some of these teams some time and wait until the pressure mounts after their goaltenders poop the bed in the playoffs or they don't make it into the playoffs and trade him in the offseason. Because really if we get a bag of pucks for Luongo I would rather get a bag of pucks in the offseason. And the worst that could happen is we put Lu on waivers or we buy him out. But he is valuable to us in the playoffs. He is insurance, the kind of insurance that is worth more than the price of a bag of pucks. No fear! Burr's bandwagon
Luongo for MacArthur and Gardiner/Franson I'd be ok with.
Burr's bandwagon
Doesn't matter who Gillis gets back for Luongo. He just has to get Bobby off the books. Addition by subtraction.
phishnapper
Frazer Mclaren, Ben Scivens and a second rounder. Then we could bounce Sestito or pinner outta the lineup.

falcon45ca
We signed Luongo to that contract 3 years ago cuz Cory didn't emerge as our number til this year. When he started in the game against LA in last year's playoffs that's when it started to shift to Cory being the guy. Another reason was because Cory wasn`t supposed to be here still. The plan was to stick with Luongo. That the was the plan the whole time until that playoff game in 2012 against LA. Cory was going to be traded for a high return resulting in MG signing LU to that contract.
