Trebreh
So you would be fine giving up a 3rd round pick for a 4th liner? People need to stop jumping on Gillis. The prices this year were just dumb. Which is the reason we only saw like 13 trades.

DeNiro
I never said that? My point was we already had him on the team, all he wanted was a little security and 700k raise that MG didnt want to give him.
DeNiro
He was talking about after our cup run, when he was already a Canuck and we decided to go with Glass instead. And the prices this year weren't dumb at all. They were the most resonable in recent memory.
NUCKS4CUP 28
Two 2nds for Murray? Two 2nds and a 3rd for Clowe? Morrow for Morrow? A 3rd for Torres? None of these deals are reasonable. IMO the best deal of the deadline was for Pomminville. Which I would have loved to see the Canucks go after, but I don't think we had the pieces to match Minny's offer. DeNiro
A 3rd for Torres is a very good price, especially when you consider how bad this team drafts. Half the time our 1st round picks don't make it, let alone one of our 3rd round picks.
SamJamIam
Torres was great when he was with us. He's worth far less now with his suspension history. I like the guy but he's not THE missing piece. Roy fits that bill infinitely more. CDC just got their shiny new toy on Christmas Eve and now some are bitching that they didn't get an even shiner one on Christmas day. Torres wouldn't have made these people happy anyways

cmpunk
We're adding back Kesler and getting Derek Roy. That's more than what Minnesota did at the deadline.
zejono
Gillis you idiot. Just a 3rd round for torres who just had 2 assists last game. Watch San jose go against us in playoffs and torres will destroy our team. smart move
Danthecanucksfan
He's worth a 4th TOPS. I would've traded him for a 5th

Blueberries
Alright if we r gonna keep these picks, we better have a big draft.
klw604
Phoenix got what they wanted, gillis offered a 4th probably. Too bad he would of been a perfect 3rd 4th energy player.

LeanBeef
hmmmmm.... now where's the grit for our team? Kesler is the only one that can provide that in the top six with Booth out and Clowe to the Rangers.... Sestito hits hard but is too slow to catch up to anyone to hit.... Pinizzotto is similar.... Lapierre also has gotten alot slower. Hansen is too busy creating offense and has forgotten how to hit.... Kassian hasnt hit the same since his couple of suspensions a few years ago.... Great job at addressing our needs for grit and penalty killing Gillis!!! I admire your hard work this deadline!!!!
