Langdon Algur
I love how it's "Filip Forsberg to Nashville" and not "Erat to Washington"
Common sense
Nashville just committed robbery.
Monty
I'm conflicted big time on this one. On one hand, it was way too early for the Caps to trade away Forsberg. However, Erat is a very underrated player, who has been putting up decent points on a defensive minded Nashville team. Although I would rather have Forsberg (due to potential), Erat may be able to put up big points playing on a more offensive minded team.

oldnews
A perenial 50-60 pt player on the Predators is not chopped liver folks. He's also a player with good underlying numbers (his -7 is misleading) - he's typically a guy who gets less than 50% ozone starts. Odd deal - Nashville is tied for 8th and give up their top scorer. Yeah, great prospect, but their fans have got to wonder what this says about their management's perception of their potential this season. Washington is only 3 points out, and buying. UFCanuck
Forsberg as the main piece going back for Pominville would have made more sense.

Edlerberry
BAD EFFING MOVE. Erat has been next to useless for a while now. And I used to be a big fan of him.
ninja321
Wash shouldn't have gave up the future if they're not guaranteed a playoff spot
Edler Is a Beast
I was laughing so hard when I saw this trade. Washington got robbed so bad! And Nashville hasn't had much on the way of superstar forwards. If this guy turns into the player many expect him to be, Forsberg could be their new go-to guy for offense a few years from now. A buddy of mine is always smack-talking the canucks, and as luck would have it, he's a caps fan.... Fantastic.
Where's Wellwood
What's with the pronunciation aid on Erat, and Latta? If they were gonna do that, why not do it for Forsberg too?

rb4u
Something fishy here. I get the feeling that McPhee might know something about the young Forsberg that precipitated this move...
Kubrick
From a conference rival perspective, go to straight to hell McPhee. That didn't do us a bit of help down the line.
