crime911
Well owners and fans have equal rights to expect something out of their players but no sudden change can lead you to win the cup....Now Calgary should focus on rebuilding their entire team.. developing player into top 6 forward from the picks they got during the trade. CanucksFanMike
lol..... Mr. King prepare for disapointment.
Garrison
Just rebuild already. If you would have started the rebuilding phase sooner you would have gotten better results. Imagine what Iginla would have fetched 2 years ago?
Master Mind
No wonder they never rebuilt until now. Just trying not to be fired all these years...
naslund.is.king
Wow disaster happening in Calgary..disappointing really! The Iginla vs Naslund matchup's were some of the most exciting and heartbreaking for myself. Obviously the owner is captain of this ship. Watch for the flames to try an attempt to do what florida did last year.
Watermelons
So by the end of the season the Flames will have lost their #1 forward, #1 defenceman and #1 goalie, yet the owners expect them to make the playoffs next year?
Rey
Oh Jeez, what did you expect him to say? The Owner still needs to sell the product, gotta keep the fans optimistic despite knowing that the team may need to change their entire core. Kipper is retiring apparently, We are not 100% that Iginla will be back because we don't know if he wants to join a garbage team, Bouws gone. Don't really have much of anything else. Gotta keep the season holders in tact.
Drouin
Its like in NHL 13 when your trying to rebuild and the owners will just fire you.
UFCanuck
Maybe if Mackinnon can step right in and win the Hart and Art Ross. Goalie's retiring so they should go get Ryan Miller at the draft. They can ask for a refund on the Bouwmeester deal.

spliced
I think they are kind of hopeless right now. Once they get a high pick or two in their line up and playing for them they will get some hope back.
KING ALBERTS
LOL. Wow, I saw this on tsn last night... That is too much. Too funny. Even flames fans are calling for a blowup/rebuild, and they aren't known for intelligence
Coconuts
Wow, no pressure for the rebuilding team.
Apples
No goalie, no prospects, no dman, no forwads. Flames should be happy if they end up 29th in the league

SterlingArcher
It was more of a "we're not going to purposely tank the season like the oilers" type of comment. They're still going to remain competitive through drafting, which is highly unlikely for the next 3-5 years. You can't really expect him to tell the players to stop trying to win games. Soren5556
Even if by some miracle they did make the playoffs next year they'd just be an easy sweep with the team they have. Lames management and ownership is a joke
