People must be very desperate if they're placing their hope in Vandermeer.

I think people recognize the certain help he adds to the roster. The Bruins turned the corner in the play-offs when they brought in Shawn Thorton, who'd have thought it

No one is placing their hopes in Jim Vandermeer bro..you are trying to sound all knowledgeable here,,people are saying that he is a good deterent if needed and a handy Bash Brother...some people just look for arguments on this board,,frankly. I would rather see Vandy here than Pinnizotto,,,Vandy has fought them all and done well...and takes no prisoners. Its about time we stopped taking crap on this team and when you have one of the better tough guys in your farm..why not....True Vandy isnt a forward but has played there and on our 4th line,,get real,,its not a downgrade..

i want that animal i saw that jumped on the other teams bench solo and started swinging, I'm sick of this kumbaya crap, Ebbett is uselss out there, if the 4th line of Vandermeer-Pinizzotto-Sesito arent on search and destroy missions targeting the other teams best asset then we will be gone in 5-6 games.

it's time to play hardball, stop pussyfooting around.

run out top 9 as much as possible 3 line scoring threat we should have now and save the goon line to deal with the other teams garbage and scum that are sure to be be gooning the Twins, Raymond, Burrows Hansen etc...

Vandermeer-Pinizzotto-Sesito

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Burrows-Kesler-Jensen
Higgins-Roy-Hansen this could be legit
Vandermeer-Pinizzotto-Sestito

This is why you're my favourite poster. Totally agree man. We need some mean mofos on this team not afraid to clock a guy when he messes with the Sedins. Haven't had a player like that for a long time. I hope the Kumbaya Canucks start turning into take no prisoners mean mofos.

COSIGN !!!
i want that wolf pack mentality back.

maybe we need to go down to the dressing room and put the Rypien Tribute up to shake these guys.
Get the spirit of Ryp into them.

Vandermeer-Pinozzotto-Sestito with the green light to seek and destroy.

(not sold on LaPierre at all this year. maybe hes saving it but underwhelmed to say the least)

Yeah man. I think AV is holding Lappy back. Lappy is most effective when he runs his mouth. He's not afraid to back up his yapping either. I think he'd be a much more effective player without being on AV's "leash". And I agree, that is a perfect 4th line. I wish we could of got Torres though so we have that extra guy who can fill in for a suspended goon or vice versa.

me too, Torres skating around keeps the opposing skilled players minds semi occupied with survival.

Hes not a regular AHL player you nut, he has played in the bigs big difference. who brings toughness and experience a guy that will put the other teams players in place not to include he has 461 NHL games under his belt. Not to include he has 5 pts in 28 games for the wolves and is a +7.

this assuming the canucks make the playoffs... oilers are hot on their tail.....

Oilers wouldn't knock the Canucks out, they'd take out someone like the red wings.

If we can't make the playoffs, we have much bigger problems than worrying about Vandermeer.

I dont know why some people wouldnt want him up he seems to be playing well on the wolves he's not going to get you a crap load of points but he will give you some added toughness that this team needs at the backend. Its not as if he has never played a NHL game I assume he has played his fair share.

He has played over 460 NHL games...this guy isnt a detriment.

Why does everybody pencil in Jim Vandermeer as a left winger in their armchair coach lines? He's a defenceman not a left winger. He's played left wing in spurts only out of necessity.

^Because we need him to punish defencemen on the dump and chase so the Sedins can take advantage of them once their crippled.

Jim Vandermeer is one tough puppy,,he probably will never be called up because of AV...and we will lose him in the off season without renewal...damn...use him now.

I would think he is the toughest guy in the organization...without a doubt.

A line with two slow as mud skaters in Vandermeer and Sestito, and an AHL forward. Wow! What isn't there to love about that?

I think pinni is a nit out of shape maybe? Just coming back from injury, prefer Lappy centering. Has anyone seen vandermeer play? I haven't so can comment on his play.

please be gentle with my posts...I am Australian, hockey isnt my first language.

Sesitito, Lappiere(the big mouth guy) and Vandermeer.
Free Lappy and let him use his mouth to get his game going. He'll have two big boys to back him up. The nice thing with Vandermeer is that he's a defenceman and can be a reliable forward in his own end. He's also a +7.

Had a look at some of Vandy's work, look like SJ played him wing, only one fight in the A this year good tilt tho.

Pro's- can throw both hands, good stamina, good chin, not just a meatbag can actually do some damage.

Con's- little slow, not many tilts in the past 2 years.

Just the reputation alone is enough to get the other teams attention, hold other teams accountable, if they try the Marchand BS.

AV or MG simply like small skilled players over big and character guys. This is what this Canucks teams all about.....

"I haven't been a supporter of the Canucks for long. Mainly because firstly I knew nothing about NHL GL and secondly ESPN America only started showing NHL 3 years ago. I was unattached to any team when I first started watching although I could easily have gone for the Philadelphia Flyers as my home team which I supported in my youth and for 20 years was the Fife Flyers."

Did you guys see what Torres did in his first game with SJ? He got the second star, had 2 assists and lots of hits. MG is a real idiot for not bringing him back. Just watch Torres injure someone on our team in playoffs. MG will look so stupid.
