clutesi
What do people think of the current Oilers roster in terms of starting to gel and possibly running over everyone in the next two months?
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Maybe in 3 or so years. This year there an easy first rnd exit if they make it in.
Breakwood
They will certainly be contenders next season. After they barely miss the playoffs this year, they pull off a miracle in the draft lottery and get another first overall pick. Its bound to happen. Drouin
Not yet. I think they need one more #1 overall draft pick.
Alex Burrows 14
My guess is they surprise in the playoffs and maybe go a couple rounds, maybe
Mr. White
They might make the playoffs but there's no way the win the cup with that defense and goaltending
Riviera82
Stranger things have happened. Look at Chicago in 2009, it was the first time that team made the playoffs in ages and they handed the Flames and Canucks their respective asses. Wouldn't you know it, they go on to win the cup the following year with good defense but suspect goaltending. Personally, I dont think the Oilers are far off that scenario. ForsbergTheGreat
I think it's safe to say the Oilers season is over. 4 points out with only 10 games remaining. 53 points is looking to be the points needed to make playoffs and in order for Edmonton to hit that they will need a 6-2-2 record in their last 10. Looking at their schedule, it's not going to happen.
