ronningsback
With the Roy signing and Schroeder starting to look like an NHLer and given Burroughs, Raymond and Higgins are all capable of playing Centre there is absolutely no reason to play Kesler at Centre. He is simply not a "natural" centre......his first instincts are always to shoot rather than pass and he would be much better along the boards. Forward Line up should be: Sedin, Sedin and Burrows Higgins, Roy and Hansen (*) Raymond, Schroeder, Kesler (*) Pinnizzoto, LaPierre, Weise (*) interchangeable
Jagr68
Interchangable or not; Kesler and Raymond on the third line? Sir, what have you been inhaling.
Biasbieksa
I like Kesler at a 3rd line center position. Look how pittsburgh is built. Deep down the middle. Surrounded by decent wingers. Thats how we should be built. Should of got a 2nd line winger for Roy. Now thats a proper forward core.
RyanKeslord17
If we ever put Kes on the Wing: Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Higgins-Roy-Kesler Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen Pinnizotto-Lapierre-Weise
JensenFan2011
Sedin Sedin Burrows Raymond Kesler Jensen Higgins Roy Hansen Pinnizzoto Lappy Kassian This is the line up that makes the most sense to me so would rather keep our center depth strong by keeping kesler center
Smashian Kassian
Why is he on the third line? Isn't the point of this to move Roy up to the 2nd line with him?

stonecoldstevebernier
Playing centre is not simply passing and shooting. Kesler won the Selke for a reason... he is excellent at covering the middle of the ice and checking the opposing team's top players (when healthy of course). Not to mention he's also our best faceoff man. Of course, you could let him take faceoffs and have him move to the wing once play starts, but then you miss out on his defensive play. Makes more sense to keep him at centre, save for the PP where he'll be on the wing with the Sedins.
canuck73_3
Kesler on the wing? yeah on the PP only. Stupid ideas like this is why many of you don't work in the NHL in any capacity...

Zoolander
With Jensen, Kassian, Schroeder and the newly acquired Derek Roy (huge fan of the trade BTW) AV can juggle the lines all he wants and I won't care. Everything is movable except the possibility of Pinnozotto,Weise or Sestito jumping up a line.

Patrick Kane
Kesler is not a "shoot-first" instinct type player. His ego makes him think he his a perennial 40 goal scorer, thus trying to do everything himself (shoot vs pass) He was not like this when he first broke out. 25g/50a He utilized his line-mates, and sniped when needed. If he wants to be this shooter type player, then he should play on the wing of fantastic playmaker Derek Roy. We have no wingers with the playmaking acumen of Roy. Patrick Kane
IF Lapierre can go to 2011 cup run form, then we could slot Kesler with the Sedins. Sedin-Sedin-Kesler Raymond-Roy-Burrows Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen Sestito-Schroeder-Kassian Look at Chicago's 4th line, often Goon-Kruger-Frolik. Goon sometimes Bollig, Mayers or Carcillo. Lancaster
You can still be an effective shutdown player on the wing. Just ask Jere Lehtinen, the 3-time Selke winner playing on the RW. Kesler can still take faceoffs, except on the wing, he can just shadow the top players from the other team.
Ballisticsports.
Before the playoffs, I would like to see Sedin-Sedin- Kassian Burrows-Roy-Kesler Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen Higgins -Lapierre-Weise Higgins interchange with any winger struggling on the 2nd or 3rd ine to mix it up He could also take Keslers spot on the 2nd after a pp
