I lol'd at the spelling in the thread title.

Bryz does seem like the kinda guy to 'dose' during a meeting.

I can almost guarantee it wouldn't be his first trip to outer space.

He shot his mouth off a few times when he was in Anaheim, I guess nobody was listening in Phoenix.

Sounds like they can't function without Pronger.. I know he wouldn't let his team become so ridiculous

No he can do that all by himself

But about bryz. Seriously? Wow he closed his eyes for a few seconds. Lets buy him out and send him to russia. That is unacceptable. Give me a break. I dont have any problem with what he did. Im starting to like bryz, hes not afraid to say what hes thinking and he wants to play, problem is he is not a very good goalie....

Decent goalie, just not great in the market in Philly. Too much pressure on him. In Phoenix there was no pressure, if he did this there, I can guarantee nobody would've honestly cared. It's not even that big of a deal...

Well, his teammates and his coach denied the allegations that Bryz fell asleep during a meeting. While they could be just defending Bryz from the media horde, this would not be the first, nor the last time the media spun something just for the sake of having a story to talk about.

It is the media, after all. Not a lot of integrity there.

This is stupid. The game video clearly shows that he's joking around with Mason. The little yawn is faked. The media is making a big deal about nothing. They're all butthurt 'cause Bryz is making tons of money for an average goaltender. Not his fault that Phi offered him a stupid contract.

^^^

The one thing you need to change about your post is stating that Bryzgalov is "an average goaltender." Nothing about his play over the last 2 seasons indicate anything remoltely average. He is easily in the bottom 5 starters over the last 2 years, that does not consitute "average."

not even the contract. philly just has no D or structure at all. bobrovsky left for a team with, somewhat of a defensive system set up to help him out a little. philly has nothing

Quite possibly. Remember when reporters, even sports reporters, actually reported things instead of making them up for ratings/sales?

Nah, me neither.

That's not true at all. For parts of the season the Flyers fans and organization even praised Bryz for being the best player on the ice because the defense was getting carved up so bad it could have been much uglier. You have to keep in mind Philadelphia does not play a goalie friendly system. They have an aggressive offense that often includes an involved defense and they are prone to giving up a lot of breakaways and getting caught out of position. Not to mention their best 2 defensemen are turnout machines. Bryz has started all but 3 games this entire season because when they tried the other back ups they got destroyed behind what many would consider the Flyers worst defensive unit in years.

The assessment of he is an average goalie who is overpaid is accurate.

The issue is that he's supposed to be the savior in net for that team (they signed him to the massive contract), so when he's not only proving that he's not the guy but he doesn't give a crap and, by extension, becomes Bryz-z-z-zgalov, how would you expect his image to improve? It's only natural for this uproar to occur against his nonchalant attitude.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus LOVES YOU!
2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Its the classic "if a tree falls in the woods, and nobody is around to see it, does it make a sound?" debate.

I would hate to play on a team with Bryzgalov. Despite his talent, he seems way too flaky. I wouldn't trust him to compete every night.
