I'm just waiting to see the 'miraculous' recovery of the Rat-face for next game.

It looked like a deliberate elbow to the head.

I thought it deserved about 2 or 3 games. 4 is reasonable.

I'm sure most of the people here on CDC will consider it outrageous just because the hit was on Marchand.

should have been given a bonus, not a suspension......and if you are going to get suspended, at least make sure it is worthy and hit him hard, full on next time

From the original thread:

It's absolutely an elbow and a dangerous play, but the actual contact is glancing at best. Marchand absolutely sold it. Haven't heard anything on an actual injury to Marchand today, but perhaps we will now that the suspension has been handed down.

EDIT:

this is no where near the Keith elbow to Daniel but the suspension is almost the same.

the hit itself kinda deserves 2-4 games IMO. however, Marchand embarassed himself (further) with that show.

dropping to his knees and then flat onto the ice....really?!?

How can Doctors tell if marchands headaches are going to be coming from the hit or carrying that schnoz around?

I'd would've preferred 2-3 games, but oh well.

I'd say 4 games is fairly reasonable. I was gonna guess 3.

It was pretty deliberate targeting the head with the elbow. It didn't badly injure Marchand, but the play itself was dirty and that's what should be punished.
